It looks like Theo Ratliff has signed for the minimum with the Lakers. That's too bad... we could've used him.

Well...congrats to Theo - he deserves to be on a favorite to win a championship. Good luck!

If the Lakers must win next year, at least Theo gets a ring. I will have to pull for them over the Heat, that's for sure.

Good for Theo...bad for us.

I'm glad he's getting a chance to win a ring. He served us well last year and I would've loved to have him back, but he's earned the right to chase the ring. Hope it works out for him... wait, no I don't. Screw the Lakers. His winning would be the thinnest of imaginable silver linings.

I've hated the Lakers my whole life, but I wonder where other Cats fans stand on this. Heat vs. Lakers in the finals...who ya pulling for? I gotta go Lakers. As much as I hate Kobe & Co., I have an infinite amount of respect for them compared to the cowardice and egotistical nature of LeBron.

I feel sorry for LBJ. He goes from perrenial MVP candidate to Wade's little bitch. Someone gave him some shitty advice.

I would root for the Lakers this year. The worst thing that could happen to small market teams would be for young up-and-comers to see this Heat experiment working and it become a regularity.

I think this angle is a little overblown. Yes it will be Wade's team entering the season, but there's no guarantee it will be his when the time is done. If the King averages a triple double, is he really Wade's bitch?

I'm actually glad LeBum decided to go play second fiddle to Wade. This way, he'll never even be in the same discussion as MJ. :p

That ship had sailed long before. People brought it back up because of the move, but it had already left the dock at that point too.

I'm convinced that the Heat experiment is going to work and that players trying to work with each other to form "superpowers" is going to be the new reality in the NBA.
This season, the Heat will win 68+ games, Lebron will average 25,9,9 coming tantalizingly close to averaging a triple double. The Heat will only lose 1 game in their entire playoff run AND James will be the finals MVP.
I'm not a James or Wade fanboy by any stretch of the imagination, but they are going to be completely dominant next season.
Go ahead Flame me
Ziggy...I think you are correct that they will win (regular season) but I'm not convinced they will win it all...I'd put them in the same conversation with the Lakers, Celtics, Magic but not really above any of them because they've done nothing yet...and certainly nothing together...
When the Celtics put the "big three" together they were older and hungrier...we have no idea what these "egos" will do together in the second season...:g:
Lakers-Heat finals?
Wake me up when September ends.
