I was having a friendly debate over on Twitter, and I heard something that I've never heard before: Jeff McInnis is a better PG than Raymond Felton.

Are there any others here that share that opinion?

@MichaelProcton - I don't agree with that, but I respect your opinion. Come over to the BCP forum and I'll start a thread for that debate.

@bobcatsplanet Better player, no, but yes, absolutely a better PG. Actually understood the idea of setting up teammates.

@MichaelProcton - I'm puzzled. You're saying that Jeff mcinnis was a superior PG to Raymond Felton?

@bobcatsplanet That the same Jeff McInnis who ran an offense better than Felton ever has?

@MichaelProcton - I survived kareem rush, Jeff mcinnis and Sam Vincent... yes, that's enough to drive anyone crazy.

@bobcatsplanet Sounds like you're one of the crazy types who has faith left in MJ/Higgins.

@MichaelProcton - I hear you, but waiving and re-signing him simply cannot be the best that we can do.

@bobcatsplanet You HAVE seen our front office, right? All Dallas got was Tyson "4-6 once a week" Chandler.

@MichaelProcton @mikecranston1 - thoughts of not being able to do more with this valuable contract disturbs me.

One of the biggest asswipes to call himself a fan. He's a Duke fan who can't leave college out of it.

Funny how he predicted gloom when we got rid of Okafor...then proceeded to disappear from all the blog sites he used to visit for the entire season when we had some success.

Oh, and for the record I thought McInnis was a decent PG, but nowhere near as good as Felton. Everyone hates on the guy, but if he'd had just been used as the backup he was supposed to be instead of forced into the starting gig by the Idiot then he'd have been adequate.

With McInnis I just remember some of the most horrid offensive "flow" that I've ever witnessed on a basketball court. Of course some of that could have been because of Superstar Sam Vincent's sideline "strategy" but I certainly don't remember many positives about Jeff running the show.

... But on a completely unrelated note, this is quite impressive

I have to agree with spectre that if Jeff had worked as Ray's back-up he'd have been more effective...as for Sam-I-Am...to paraphrase Crash..."I'm still not sure what the guy was trying to do"...so who knows if Jeff could have been more effective...

but better than Ray...I'd have to say no...

I expect a lot out of my point guards and Jeffy gave everything and more.

When you need a nice hot one first thing in the morning who's gonna get it for you? Jeffy.

When trying to figure out a game plan on game days, who can you talk to? Jeffy. (I loooved how he would always start himself in the lineup, man I luv that kind of assertiveness).

When you need a stiff one after another tough loss, who's there with you?
Jeffy.

I just never Felt I could count on RayRay the way I could my Jeffy.

I remember Michael Procton when I used to read the blog comments over at the Charlotte Observer. I also remember constantly thinking to myself how much of a pessimist he was. He just seems to be one of those guys that no matter what the Panthers and Bobcats are doomed, as in erased from the face of the earth doomed. He's hated on every decent player to ever play for a Charlotte pro team, so it doesn't surprise me that he'd say this.

This shouldn't even be a debate. McInnis was awful during his time as a Bobcat, in part because he played way too much, but also because he was 35 years old.

Wow McInnis. Are you serious? Due to alotta e-hate for Felton, they make him sound worse than what he is. If you think Felton is bad, and you thought DJ's 2nd year was bad, McInnis is shocking.
