Just go all in on expirings. Clean this fucker out.

VC, Dunleavey, TJ Ford, whatever.

Even if it doesnt net Melo and CP3 in one and two years, respectively, it gets you in the lottery and gives you a shot at Kyrie Irving and Harrison Barnes, the future 1 and 3 of the league.

And it gets you cap flexibility to fill out the roster with a nice 4 or 5.

So you're suggesting we destroy a team that made the playoffs last year for the slim chance to get Chris Paul and Melo, and then later hope we the lottery ball falls our way so we can acquire two players who haven't even played a college ball game yet?

Sounds like a great idea. But wait, didn't New Jersey just try that?

It's called not having faith, in anyone really.

You're behind the curve. I was hyped for cleaning house months ago.

I'm pretty chill now though. Its really not that bad of a situation... and no, we're not getting Carmelo or Chris Paul, but its okay.

365 days ago we didn't have Jax, Flip or Stephen Graham on our roster and very little wiggle room with the cap. We are already in a better position (in light of how unproductive Chandler ended up being) then we were a year ago.

LB's Bobcats make roster moves on average every month and half during his tenure....patience young padawans

All we are saying....IS GIVE DJ A CHANCE

This.

And unfortunately right now, "mediocrity" is the best we can do. No point in taking a big risk cleaning house only to end up back where we were when the franchise first started.

We still will prbly wind up making the playoffs again this year with current roster.

Augustin gets Most Improved Player.

Livingston gets Comeback Player of the Year.

Bet on it.

If both those two things happen it's because we play small ball with TT at Center, GW at PF, Jackson at SF and DJ and Livington in the guard spots.

We'd also probably be the 3rd or 4th seed in the East

Wow.

There is no combination of players on this team that would make the top 4 in the East, even if DJ AND Shaun exceed all expectations.

Don't get me wrong, this is a playoff team, but Miami, Orlando, Chicago and Boston are locks to be higher seeds. Atlanta and Milwaukee are playoff teams for sure barring catastrophe, and New York has a quietly good roster.

My point is, if DJ and Livingston win those two awards at the same position THIS year....it's much more likely to assume that any of the teams you mentioned would experience an extensive injury to one of their key players.

Boston loses Pierce, we'd finish ahead of them
Atlanta loses Johnson, we'd finish ahead of them
Chicago loses Rose, we'd finish ahead of them (no Hinrick anymore)
Milwaukee loses Bogut (we seems to happen often, we'd finish ahead of them
Orlando loses Howard, ditto

So...will any of the above happen..probably not, but DJ and Livingston winning those two awards is much less likely.

Boston could sustain an injury to any two of the big 3 and be ok. They have that much depth, and those guys (understandably) take the regular season off.

ATL has Crawford available if needed.

The rest are correct.

But there is no way in hell DJ or Shaun win either award.

Boston could certainly sustain an injury and Miami could as well...but IMO we were EXTEMELY lucky WE didn't have a big hit last season.

What are the odds Crash can play 76 games sustaining 40+ mpg 2 seasons in a row?

I thought "Comeback Player of the Year" was an award that was gotten rid of.
