See this article about Brandon Marshall stating if the NFL has a lockout, he plans to play for an NBA team...seems reasonable, so...which NFL players does MJ need to start talking to now?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5459355

Julius Peppers?

Jared Gaither for the Ravens 6'9" 340lbs? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?playerId=10705

Antonio Gates, TE. 6’4” 260 lbs. Two-year basketball starter at Kent State, averaging 20.6 points per game as a senior

Donald Driver, WR. 6’0” 194 lbs. best basketball player by far on the Packers; formerly an Olympic-class high jumper

Terrell Owens, WR. 6’3” 224 lbs. Played college basketball at Tennessee-Chattanooga

Marcus Pollard, TE. 6’3” 255. Two-year basketball starter at forward for Bradley

Definitely Antonio Gates. Julius was okay when he played for UNC so maybe. TO plays pretty well in the celebrity games but he's probably too old to do anything special for a whole season.

I'd take Marshall and Gates.

Though Ochocinco is apparently really good.

Ochocinco should play MLS...would be good press for both sides.

Because a fringe NBA d-league player with star status will take them over the top :D

I'd take Jamarcus Russell and his codeine over half the people the knicks have drafted, or let play on their roster the last 5 years.

Anybody see what Chris Mannix said on twitter? Something like he mentioned Brandon Marshall to a few NBA GMs and they straight up laughed. Sidenote: I just traded Mashall and a 3rd for a 2nd and a 4th in my fantasy keeper league. I got bamboozled, dude offered 3 trades over 2 days then did 3 all at once and i just picked one. I've got my keepers set...Think what an NFL lockout could do to Fantasy Football, not to mention open gambling and whatever else economically attached to the NFL. Jeeze.

At worst he's a bigger Eddy Curry.

Tony Gonzalez? Basketball player in high school @ 26 points a game and took Cal's basketball team to the sweet 16. 6'5" 243 lbs.

I guess my thought on going this route is putting someone that would fill the Charles Oakley role. You wouldn't look for them to bring anything but a hard foul or six and get some clean-up baskets because most likely the other team wouldn't guard him much.

point in case...Andruw Bynum puts GW in the hospital AGAIN, who do we want coming off the bench? to meet and greet Kobe the next time he drives the lane.

this insults all of the josh powell's, grevis vasquez's etc. they are far superior players who still don't put a dent into an nba roster. brandon marshall and TO have ego's the size of texas to think they can "just go play basketball" if the nfl locks out.

with the new nfl rules, he was fined for hitting too hard.
