He had a semi-sweet finger-roll reverse layup, but 10 seconds later had to give up a foul (and 3pt play) when Billups took the ball straight to the hoop.

Diaw with 9 of France's 30 points at halftime. USA up 39-30.

Was busy watching Joey Votto get run for no reason. Will be watching the 2nd half.

Its weird seeing Lexy actually play in a a game....I wish he would've gotten a real chance here.

Classic Boris, turn down a wide open layup to kick it out.

How in the world is Tyson Chandler on the USA team? He couldn't even start for us.

Not hard to imagine the Cats missing Boris's distribution skills if he's traded.

Did the commentator just say it looks like Boris has a Bridgestone (tire) hidden under his jersey? Ouch...I thought it was a Michelin.

Diaw doesn't look all that bad out there considering who he is going up against. Once he gets rid of some pounds he can still be a very effective player.

fat, unathletic and undersized and still gets it done. Kudos to Boris.

This (playing in World Championships) is exactly what we need for Boris (as long as he doesn't tweak an ankle like last summer). He will probably lose 10-15 pounds over the next month.

Boris has zero value in transition (offense or defense) because of his inability to accelerate.

nice spin move by Boris. I like what I see.
seriously, trading him right now would be one of the worst moves this front office could do. Especially for Jose freaking Caleron.

Not a coincidence he's playing well against this undersized bunch.

This game was quintessential Boris. A little doughy, extremely capable with the ball in his hands, hesitant to pull at times, making spinning hooks at others. Biggest thing is his ability to cover away from the post has become even more limited.

Biggest thing is his ability to cover away from the post has become even more limited. I only watched the 1st half, but this is the only thing I noticed that was alarming. Yeah, he's carrying some extra weight, but it didn't seem to affect any other aspect of his game.

He wouldn't have made it if David Lee didn't get hurt.

Made it? He's a starter.
Made it? He's a starter.
And is the only true center with any experience.

They made it pretty clear they were only going to keep one true 5. In international play, Odom can play center, hell even Durant can. If they were really worried about size, they would have kept McGee on. There wouldn't really be a point in having Chandler when you have Lee who can do everything Chandler can do five times better.
