It is looking more and more like we are going to cut the Dust chip
I think two or three of thease guys could help.
I would love to have Flip back . Collins will never be starter material.
Admundsun , The guy is instant energy.

Are we not signing Flip or Larry? Were gonna miss having one of them.
I would love to see us get Amundson as well.

Josh Boone or Earl Barron would be better options than Dampier if we do just cut him. They would be cheaper and are younger. I think both have long term potential to become starters and have both actually proven that they have 'the goods'. Louis Amdunson is the best option if he is willing to play more center than power forward this year. If he is we should sign him.
I also think signing Collins over Earl Watson or Roger Mason (when he was still a free agent) was a mistake. Both of those guys know how to get it done. All our point guards are inexperienced and have issues (DJ-confidence/ability to run a team, Livingston-knee, Collins-weight/rookie) and either of those guys would provide stability off the bench.

Boone and Barron both show lots of upside at the center position. Though im not sure either is better than Damp RIGHT NOW?
I compleatly agree with you on taking vetran point. Even if we just signed Flip i would feel better at the point.
I really like Amdunson and Diogu at power foward . But i don't think either could play center?
Does any one know if Mcquire and Collins has a garnteeded contract and if we are showing ANY instrest in signing UPS . As far as i know UPS is not signed . Or hasn't got a invite to summer camp .

Really would want Amdunson or Collins. Haven't seen anything from Boone to make him worth it.

If possible...
Trade Diaw for tJ Ford(expiring) +2nd rounder
Sign Diogu as a backup PF
Waive Dampier
Sign E.Barron at C
I really like Barron. He's big, something we lack. And was averaging a double double when he was starting for the Knicks toward the end of last season. Hopefully that will carry over.
These trades and signing will ease the financial situation. We can't continue going over the cap for mediocracy. The bobcats needs to plan for the future.

Toine shimmying to Charlotte, but for how long? (http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/19833/toine-shimmying-to-charlotte-but-for-how-long)
Antoine Walker hasn’t had a job in the NBA for nearly 21 months.
He doesn’t have a known invite to an NBA training camp, either, with just two weeks to go before most teams are scheduled to assemble for Practice No. 1 of the new season.
But Walker does have a former college teammate and very close friend that plays for the Charlotte Bobcats, whose new owner isn’t just a living legend but another longtime Walker pal.
So it certainly made some sense when word reached Stein Line HQ on Sunday night that Toine is expected to arrive in Charlotte this week to stay with Bobcats center Nazr Mohammed, his buddy and fellow Kentucky Wildcat, and join in daily pickup games at the Bobcats’ facility leading up to the start of camp on Sept. 28.
Emphasis on some.

I never liked him in his prime, so I imagine it'd be even less so now.

Especially with no playing time over the last 20 months. I remembered him as an overweight, crybaby. That had some offense, very little defense and a sense of entitlement.

I still want Amundson....whats the deal with him? Didnt his agent say like 3 weeks ago that he was gonna sign during that week?

I did not see this one coming. Antoine Walker? Not so sure about this move unless Jax is going somewhere.

I don't really see us picking up Walker. We have so many randoms already, why get more. We have the King of the randoms in McGuire...he's so random I don't even remember his first name.
I really want Amundson though. Really want.

between walker and darius miles, i would vomit if either are on our roster on opening day. as for admundson, i would love him here, and have a feeling he hasn't signed anywhere yet due to the dust chip. i think once damps gets moved (maybe with diaw), admundson becomes a 'cat. *fingers crossed*

Trying to figure out if I'd rather have McGuire or Walker.....is McGuire the new "Golden Graham"?
is McGuire the new "Golden Graham"?
No.
We knew who Stevie was. IDK who the fuck McGuire is.
Speaking of which, has he signed anywhere? I haven't seen anything on him, Flip, or Larry Hughes. I'm giving 10-1 odds one of them makes his way back to Charlotte this year.

I would agree...my gut says it would be Big Shot Larry, then FLIP FLIP FLIP. Don't see why Stevie would return, although I did like him.

Please no more Hughes. It was hard enough last year with him on the team. I don't know how much more I could take of complete scrubs in a Bobcats uniform.

I got a cool pic with Flip at open practice last year...makes me want him back for selfish reasons.

flip is a quality player off the bench and i'd be more than happy with getting him back. i know he shot too much but unlike hughes he actually has a nice spot and went on a few 12+ pt games off bench which gave us that little spark. hughes inconsistence makes me sick and i would honestly rather have golden grahms over him
