I was surprised to see livermush on the list for North Carolina...
So you mean to tell me that a couple of pieces of fried livermush, 2 eggs over easy and a side of grits is :airquote: problematic :airquote:

I'm in love with its healthier counterpart, liver pudding, but still, livermush is not fattier than souse or, obviously, fatback. Plus, there has to be some kind of deep-fried something or other that is more clogging than livermush in the Old North State. Color me skeptical of this list.

Wow. Some of those look downright disgusting due to the sheer fat and oil content. Some of them do look tasty also :biggrin:

livermush reminds me of scrapple..if you haven't ever tried scrapple you need to as a sports fan. Scrapple is pretty much whatever they can't use in sausage and hotdogs, they collect, mash together and sell as scrapple.
