How do you think Tyson will hold up to the banging that occurs in Turkey next month? Diaw has added some padding.

"ATHENS, Greece -- The Acropolis basketball tournament finished in a brawl when the last game between Serbia and Greece was abandoned Thursday in the closing minutes after a fight broke out and the benches cleared.
The chaos stunned a crowd of about 5,000 at the Athens Olympic Arena, as players from the two teams exchanged punches and kicks. A few spectators entered the fray and were quickly shoved out of the arena. Greece was leading 74-73 when the match was abandoned.

Both teams qualified for the world championships in Turkey beginning Aug. 28.

The trouble began when Greek forward Antonis Fotsis (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=995) had moved threateningly toward Serb guard Milos Teodosic after a hard foul, and Nenad Krstic (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=1719) appeared to grab Fotsis by the throat.

Krstic then threw a chair at Greek center Sofoklis Schortsanitis, who was pursuing him, and it hit Greek center Yannis Bouroussis in the head. Blood trickled from his wound.

The players exited toward the locker rooms and fought in the tunnel leading from the arena before eventually being separated. The fighting happened about six minutes after Serb coach Dusan Ivkovic was ejected with two technical fouls for arguing heatedly with a referee.

Earlier Thursday, veteran guard Jaka Lakovic scored 19 points to lead Slovenia (1-2) to its first victory, 86-71 over Canada. Guard Jevohn Shepherd was Canada's top scorer with 13.

Slovenia's lead topped 20 points several times, and the Canadians -- surprise 62-58 winners over Serbia on Wednesday -- could close within only 13 in the final period."

It looked like a powder puff fight until the Serbia guy went WWE and threw a chair. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ste4A1v5W-o

you do realize that the person that threw the chair is NENAD KRSTIC!! NBA starter and veteran. I hope the NBA doesn't issue him a fine for this. I doubt they will but you never know. In case you don't know he plays for the Thunder and did play for the Nets during their good years. He was good back then and then he went and played for a soft Euro team and is just getting used to playing with NBA talent again. Hes a good player

Unnecessary male bonding right there. One of the guys is like holding on to this Afro-American dude, and like refused to let go.

Come on fellas, Krstic acted like a real pussy. He hit Schortsanitis (the Afro-Greek) from behind for several times, ran away when he chased him and threw the chair to a completely innocent guy, Ioannis Bourousis, who even didn't dress for the game because of his injury and also he had tried to avoid the fight.

This video would show how Bourousis bleeded.

@tamb

I thought you'd be glad that Greek blood was shed. :biggrin:

Anyway, Nenad was pounding on Sofoklis because the latter went mediaeval on two guys that toppled each other to the floor, and let's be honest, is there any other way to stop a lumbering and livid ~400lb bundle of pure hatred hell-bent on snapping your neck than to heave a foreign object at said threat? :)

No way pal, I want blood in our veins, doesn't matter which nationality we belong and I'm sure you wouldn't be happy either if a Serb bled, huh? :D

I know it would be impossible to get Sofo out of the brawl without doing something violent :) however, I'm not sure Sofo was there to beat Teodosic, he might be trying to end the fight but Serbs probably thought he had bad intensions, so that they hit Sofo but I still think Nenad exaggrated the magnitude of the hitting.
