View Full Version : what are our assets worth to others?
i have been floating trades and reading others concerning us on realgm for awhile now. there is a huge difference between what we see as an asset or value vs what other fans think they are worth. i know that most fans overvalue their own assets and undervalue others, but i was wondering what we think the actual value of our "assets" are.
dampier: realistically what can he bring star, starter, expiring, draft pick?
dj:?
hendo?
ups? (i suspect absolutely worthless)
diaw?
jax?
nazr?
so far, most trades that we talk about on this site are pounded on other forums. piston fans excepted due to their belief that rip actually has value.

DJ: 3rd string point guard
Hendo: Bust, D-league material
Diaw: worthless. 90% think he's a small forward
Jax: Chucker
Nazr: scrub. most of them put him on the same level as Diop.
that said, other fans think we don't have any real assets at the moment besides Crash and maybe Jax and to be honest, they are probably right. That's why I'm all for trading Jax right now as long as his value is high.

agree with hendo and naz. diaw is a little better than worthless but won't net a starter unless it is a bad contract like calderon. jax has value but his contract isn't very good. that is why i am for a
diaw, jax, najera for vc, bass type deal. orlando is already over the cap and committed to a championship. diaw and jax give them a decent shot at repeat championships. we get out of both contracts which jax is going to be very tough to move. we get a good backup to TT and we get VC who can play for us this year and then expires or we move him in feb. as much as I don't like VC, he can give us close to what jax gives us offensively. defense and attitude-wise, it isn't close.

Disagree with Hendo's analysis. Only his second year, and he can play stellar defense. Give him some time, as he looked pretty solid during SL.

that's not my analysis. This is what I read on realgm, from other fans on the Trade and transaction board.
In fact, I'm one of the biggest Henderson supporters and I still think he can become a lite version of Latrell Spreewell/Micheal Finley
