Of which I would include myself, here's a less-than-inspiring piece of info on a hamstring injury that will keep him out of the World Championships.

Hopefully this will end Higgins' obvious mancrush on this guy.

He has injured that hammy before. The guy can't stay healthy.

DJ > Jose anyhow, and won't kill our salary situation for the next three years.

Only from a general manager's perspective.

i think the fact that its been made public that we have tried to get jose twice means we wont get him. i like how the bobcats pull of those trades with no real rumors or any info before it actually goes down. hopefully we can do something like that again, but im realistic and wont be expecting it

Article from Cleveland about Jose's problems. I'm so glad MJ stopped Higgins from getting him

I shutter at the thought of him trying to play defense, especially on a team coached by Larry Brown. He'd have a stroke.

He wouldn't do any worse than DJ. The guy played on a bad hamstring and had absolutely no help behind him at all defensively. The Raptors had a historically bad team defense for most the season - one guy, hell, even 3 guys wouldn't have been able to change that.

If he wouldn't do any worse than DJ, then I'll stick with DJ and not with the luxury tax. Our offense wouldn't improve by miles to make up for the defensive shortcomings.

DJ's defense has actually improved. Gotten bigger, stronger and thus slightly easier for him to defend with a stronger filled out frame. Hopefully he comes to TC looking even bigger, it'll help cos we'll need it.

The Bobcats had one of the worst, most inefficient offenses in the league. Scoring was slow and sporadic and there were so many empty scoring stretches that we became one of the easiest teams to gameplan against in the entire league.

I fail to see how one of the 5 most efficient point guards in the NBA would somehow NOT be a massive improvement.

Doubt it'll happen at this point, but whatever...

Here's some food for thought. We had a point differential of +1.5 for the season which was 15th, while the Raptors were 19th at -1.8 point differential.

If you look at PER for individual PG's in the east Calderon was 6th last year, which put him in between Gilbert Arenas, Derrick Rose, Louis Williams, Luke Ridnour and Nate Robinson. Felton was 13th in between Jameer Nelson and Brandon Jennings.

On top of that with us paying Luxury tax we'd be paying Calderon roughly 13 million. No point to use Dampier's contract to end up taking that salary back!

Our team is built on defensive culture and when he would not fit. We should try our guys or snag someone else. I'd prefer to give DJ and Livingston a chance.

One player has never suddenly turned a top defensive team into a revolving door. Even when Dwight Howard is out for Orlando, the Magic are still easily one of the best defensive teams in the league.

Also... PER is straight up retarded. Even when you use it by itself to compare players, it makes no sense - why the hell is Louis Williams top anything? I mean come on, its just barely more useful than Per36 numbers.

But anyways, I'm just throwing that out there. Most of the knocks on Calderon aren't justified. Financially, I can see some of the concerns but he is hardly a Hedo Turkoglu or Boris Diaw - a guy who robs his franchise daily. If the Raptors were still in a win-now mode with depth and solid coaching, then Jose wouldn't be on the block at all.

If walt or slam didn't have their panties in a wad and were still here, they'd tell you that statement was factually incorrect.

Thankfully, that won't happen.

Well both of them don't like me, I know that.

Slam got suspended for like a week or something because he was abusing members, then posted once after and hasn't been on since.

Walt just disappeared.

Both are mods at RGM, that's all I know. I never read there because it's disorganized and there's a bunch of retarded stuff.
