At least for a season.
Apparently he will ask the Hawks to trade him if they don't give him a contract extension ASAP.

As long as Augustin is a part of the deal, I'm fine with either Dampier, Diop, or that fat arse Diaw being the other piece of a deal.

If i want a streaky overrated (based on production) combo guard i will sign Flip Murray. In addition, the Hawks are not going to do an in-division trade and more importantly MJ would never trade DJ to a team where he could potentially turn into something special and light us up every chance he gets.
Thanks but no thanks

1. Flip Murray cannot play PG for even half a season. Crawford is still a better option than anything currently on the team.
2. Tell me something I haven't thought about know-nothing.
3. Augustin will never light up anybody.

Bobcats could win here even if Atlanta overpays him and further complicates their financial future after overpaying Joe Johnson this offseaon.
Crawford is definitely a scorer, shots 41% from field lifetime with 2.0 Assist/TO ratio.
Maybe the most important paragraph in the article
"But with a potential lockout looming and the next Collective Bargaining Agreement expected to be less favorable to the players, the 30-year-old Crawford, who averaged 18 points last season, wants security."

I'm on the fence on this. I tend to consider him much more a point guard than a shooting guard, even though he plays some of both. I do think Dampier's deal would appeal to them, so they could make up for overpaying Johnson, but I don't see it happening. If anything, I would like to find a way to do it, and not lose Augustin, so Crawford could still come off the bench, and fill in at the one and the two.

i'm tired of people shitting on DJ, if yall want another PG fine, but stop trying to trade him for such mediocre trash. we passed Brook lopez for him, so we owe it to ourself and to DJ to atleast give him a couple of games at 36 mpg to see what he is about before we openly shop him. we don't know what we got until we play him starter minuites.

Nothing is owed to anybody.
He's played enough games, full games also, to know what needs to be known.
You're not going anywhere with him as your starter. Not even as far as you went with Felton.
jamal crawford is a great 6 man. he is not a great starter.

Like I said, he can get us through a season. If you trade him later for Chris Paul or somebody better, so be it.

I remember he was great this night in Charlotte as a starter:
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=281220030
50 pts, 17-18 from the line, 14-26 from the field, 5-8 from 3 pt line, 5 assists.

Ugh, that game was brutal.
I don't want Jamal, but he's better than DJ.
and EC123, no need to call betcats a know-nothing. Besides the fact that you're wrong, it's rude no matter what.

Jamal won't get us anywhere. He's a spotty shooter and there is a reason he was always on teams that didn't make the playoffs when he was a starter. He's fit and very good at being a 6th man with starter minutes.
I like the guy, but as a 6th man. There's also no way I'd give the Hawks cap relief, and there's no way they'd give us somebody that helped them so much last year.

Well then put together a multi team deal that sends him somewhere that can give Charlotte a startable PG.
Trade doesn't have to be 2 teams.

2nd rd. pickI don't think Diop is going anywhere this season. He is useless as far as trade value. At least in my mind. Maybe I am wrong.

Crawford says he wants a contract like Manu, which is roughly $39 million over the next three years. Anyone still interested?

He wants ten mil and plays no d. Remember when nate robinson went for 40 on them last year. If Felton isn't worth 7 crawford isn't in the ballpark with 10.

39 million, 3 years? He's dreaming. I for one...rather resign Flip Murray for 1.5 mill instead of getting Crawford.

+1. I'd be happy with playing DJ through fire before his contract demands.

Why does Augustin have to go?
Because he is most valuable as trade bait.
With the ranking (for PGs) DJ got from ESPN (if it is anywhere close to where the league thinks he is) then my 12yr. old cat has more trade value than DJ...

IF we bring in a starter I imagine it'll only get worse so long as LB is coaching.
I love LB, but he certainly doesn't keep rooks' values very high.

So....your cat's jump shot? how is it? any cross-over move?

My friend's cat has a massive vertical, and is very tenacious and full of hustle. Not much of a jump shot, but is able to block well and has sharp claws also. Also a tiny bit on in age, still got a lot of spring in the legs and plenty of experience fighting other cats and bigger dogs, and winning.

The Derrick Brown model.
Would be...if the cat wasn't female. However, I can try convince my friend to spray paint it brownish, as it's a Norwegian forest cat. That'll fix everything except the gender...would be more effective coming off the bench and playing Center than Diop...hmm

He's got a vicious jumper off the dribble and "claws" for every rebound...not one to mess with when his fur is up...LOL...

...no he does not spectre and I admit it is getting on my nerves...frankly if LB had decided to move on this year it really would not have bothered me...

That right there, is borderline blasphemy. Although I do partly agree, however I wanted him to stay on to see what he could do with TT.
