Antoine Walker hasn’t had a job in the NBA for nearly 21 months. He doesn’t have a known invite to an NBA training camp, either, with just two weeks to go before most teams are scheduled to assemble for Practice No. 1 of the new season. But Walker does have a former college teammate and very close friend that plays for the Charlotte Bobcats, whose new owner isn’t just a living legend but another longtime Walker pal. So it certainly made some sense when word reached Stein Line HQ on Sunday night that Toine is expected to arrive in Charlotte this week to stay with Bobcats center Nazr Mohammed, his buddy and fellow Kentucky Wildcat, and join in daily pickup games at the Bobcats’ facility leading up to the start of camp on Sept. 28 (http://espn.go.com/blog/truehoop/post/_/id/19833/toine-shimmying-to-charlotte-but-for-how-long).The Charlotte Bobcats: Where comeback attempts happen.

As if having to endure Larry Hughes wasn't enough... the prospect of both Kwame Brown and Antoine Walker on the squad is revolting.

There must be a move coming on because do you we really need another p/f? i think he would be a nice sign b/c he does bring vet. experiance and can help keep TT inline and help him with his game. A.W. is TT new babysitter lol.

Or the poor man's Theo Ratliff (or the other way around?)

If there's someone that proves themselves and really wants to play, I don't see why not. They had talent before - if there's a chance they can turn things around, who knows? Best case they're a veteran bench player on a minimum contract.
At least they don't have guaranteed contracts!

There is a chance these reclamation projects catch fire and are a real bonus to our team. If not it is no big deal. I like that our team is willing to take chances on once talented players who's games have slipped. If anything it draws outsiders to pay close attention to our team to see how these players pan out. I like getting reclamation projects on the cheap and I hope at least one of these guys makes the team and contributes solid minutes and play.

I really don't see Antoine Walker making the team but if he outplays someone already on the team, then he should be given a shot. If he could be like Robert Horry, I am all for it. I am tired of seeing the Bobcats lose close games or be forced to take jump shots and they can't make one.

Can't hurt to let him practice. He has plenty of motivation because of his financial woes.

EXACTLY how I feel.
And, yes, I'm irrationally hoping Walker makes a return-- for any team.

He really screwed up big time didn't he?
I guess in a way he's a lot like Eddy Curry?
