always liked Melvin Ely. Would he do us any good at the 5 position as a back-up? How is he on defense? When he signed a 1-year deal with us in his prime when he could've signed with other teams, was it out of loyalty to the Bobcats?
Not happening. He wasn't good when he started, he was bad when he got traded, and he's too small to fit a need here.

I wouldn't be pissed if they brought him in for camp, by any means. I'd be fine with it. But just like Walker, I don't see him contributing.

2K10 always made Ely & Bruce Bowen invitees to training camp for the cats whenever I played. A sign perhaps?

Melvin Ely? Are you guys crazy? Why are we pulling random names out of a hat?

Just when I was sure we might have the most obscure late additions to our training camp roster...the Clippers pulled a Clipperesq move (From ESPN's IN):
The Los Angeles Times (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_blog/2010/09/clippers-nba-training-camp.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A LAT_Sports_Blog %28The Fabulous Forum%29) reports the Los Angeles Clippers (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=lac) have invited four players to training camp. They are NBA veterans Jake Voskuhl (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=879) and Jarron Collins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=988) and rookies Jon Scheyer (Duke) and Stephen Dennis (Kutztown University). Dennis averaged 26.6 points last season and was the Division II player of the year.
Jake Voskuhl
Wow. He's 32, and hasn't had a decent season since Bernie Bickerstaff was coaching. Although the Vinny Del Negro connection probably means it's just a favor.
