So does this mean the Bobcats are position themselves to keep any and all personalities on the team, since they will have a 'big brother' to steer them into the right decisions? Hello Javaris Crittenton & Kwame Brown!!

In his new role with the organization, Whitney will cultivate one-on-one relationships with Bobcats players, provide guidance to help them develop life skills, both professionally and socially, and assist in planning for life after basketball.
The NBA’s Player Development Program was designed to aide players with life skills training and development, player counseling and assistance, and education and career transition. The program’s overall mission is to help NBA players realize their potential both on and off the court through comprehensive educational programming and critical support services and mentoring.

To learn more about Chris Whitney, he played at Clemson and was the PG a bit when MJ was playing in Washington.

What about Kwame?
Oh, that was my young fella. Kwame was my young fella. I think he got an unfair tag on him that he was soft and things like that. If you're coming from high school, you think you're in shape, you think you're playing hard. But when you get to the NBA, you're not in shape, and you're not playing hard. Some people can take that criticism and then use it as motivation and build on it, but some people couldn't, and it took him a little time to grasp that.

Heh, this was Dell and Muggsy's job the first few years...I doubt it takes much. Probably more like Rod and MJ throwing an old buddy a bone.

And Buzz Peterson...though the release said it was a new position. And if the trade goes down..Jarvis Hayes was drafted by....The Wizards.
