As in, "Surprise! There's a guy on the roster name Dominic McGuire!"?

Once we figure out who the fuck he is im sure. In all honesty though I really do have a good feeling about this guy.

Interesting Larry Brown today. Says "I died" when Felton left. Says things he likes his centers to do "will be difficult" for current group about 4 hours ago (http://twitter.com/mikecranston1/status/25703958731) via TweetDeck (http://www.tweetdeck.com/)
LB's outlook : "Challenge is much, much greater than last year based on who we had, who we lost and we got and what's gone on in our league" about 2 hours ago (http://twitter.com/mikecranston1/status/25712819658) via TweetDeck (http://www.tweetdeck.com/)
Jack says he's gained 5 pounds in offseason instead of losing weight as LB wanted. But said he'll lose 10 pounds in training camp about 3 hours ago (http://twitter.com/mikecranston1/status/25711558639) via TweetDeck (http://www.tweetdeck.com/)
Nazr Mohammed on LB line that it's difficult for centers on roster to do what he likes. "This is my 13th year. I am what I am" about 3 hours ago (http://twitter.com/mikecranston1/status/25709396710) via TweetDeck (http://www.tweetdeck.com/)

If Larry Brown keep that attitude up... the Bobcats is gonna have a terrible season.
His pessimism is making me depress too. Damn you Larry Brown, have some confidence in your team.

Did you catch the first couple of minutes in the 2nd part?
LB said "we got to hope DJ steps up....um...we get another point guard...we gotta hope that Gerald Henderson steps up...
DJ has one helluva hill to climb it looks like. Either he uses it and breaks out or he'll cave. Good luck to him.

MJ should have let him walk... Instead he's here acting like a little Biatch!

LB is starting to piss me off. This is just as bad when he first came here and cried about us having a team that wouldn't even win 10 games.

Maybe he's trying to have MJ fire him for insubordination!

Guys..don't drink the KoolAid on this (and yeah I realize that analogy pre-dates most everyone on this chat, but you can google Jim Jones and Koolaid for your educational tidbit of the day if you are really interested). This is Larry being Larry. He uses the media to communicate with all levels of the organization (including the fans).
Translation:
1.) MJ and Rod, I'm not happy with my roster, and if we aren't successful, it's your fault.
2.) Nazr, it's not that I'm unhappy with you, I just know I can only get 25-30 mpg from you, MJ & Rod get me a shot blocking Center to compliment (basically Theo minus 5 years).
3.) DJ, take the bull by the horns and become a leader on this team, don't become Raymond, become better than Raymond.
4.) New role players-work your tail off in training camp and shock me with your Defensive Intensity.
5.) UPS and Hendo, if you want to be a professional in this league it's a 12 month a year job, if you weren't happy with your minutes last season, you better be better than you were in April.
6.) Media and Fans, woo is me, if I'm not successful, it's not my fault. Everything in coaching at the professional level that isn't about winning is perspective (if LB can convince the fans and media he's working miracles with a substandard product, we start following him around with ILBIT mottos). He got absolutely grilled in NY, he's a smart guy, he will use every angle to put himself in a positive light. And I dont' thing that is a flaw, he can use that same talent to motivate the players in the lockerroom, the refs on the court and the opposing team's players/coaches (LB never talks poorly about other coaches or players..nothing to gain in doing that).
Last season, Brown really didn't have the pressure on him, we hadn't made the playoffs, nobody really knew that his picks were only his picks and some weren't panning out (DJ, Ajinca, Chandler).
Patience....we could be Minnesota.

ESPN has us predicted to go 30 - 52. LB is acting as if he thinks that is about right.
Translation:
Precisely. He's always honest, but he is also able to twist his honesty in his favor. Of course none of the centers on this team can be Ben Wallace or the All Star version of Theo Ratliff. And the liklihood is Rod and MJ won't get them. But when D12 lights us up for 45 again, that's the reason given in LB's presser. "I knew coming in, we wouldn't be able to stop Dwight. We don't have the players to do that, blah blah blah." When DJ turns the ball over 7 times and goes 3-13, that's Larry's excuse. He's covering his ass while being slightly truthful. Which means, by the way, this isn't his last coaching gig.

No way in hell. That was the FO way of trying to make DJ and Diaw feel like they are wanted and that the FO was not trying to move them.

Larry Brown calls George Karl: George, how's the treatments? yeah ok, great..uhm look when your hair grows back, can you get your new GM to call Rod Higgins about trading anything anyway possible to make my roster better, especially if you have someone that wants Diaw or a PG that knows to ignore me from time to time.
Rod Higgins calls Larry the next day: Larry, it's Rod, guess what, if you want to part ways with Diaw and Augustin, I might be able to get you Devin Harris.

The Jazz guy said the same thing. I think you're right O'hara...damage control.
Look at Harris' perspective, from that Woj article I posted in the other thread:
Even if a deal for Anthony never materializes, New Jersey coach Avery Johnson has serious repairs to make with Nets point guard Devin Harris (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3822/)(notes) (http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3822/news), a league source told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. Harris had been a huge advocate for Johnson with former Nets officials by endorsing the hiring of Johnson over the summer, and a source says Harris is feeling “a little put off” that the coach is so quickly looking to send him out of New Jersey as part of a trade for Anthony.
As part of the original four-team trade proposal, Harris was destined for Charlotte and wasn’t terribly enthusiastic about the move. And that was especially true after Johnson had spent the summer selling Harris so hard on how much he needed him to help sell the coach’s program in New Jersey.

MJ should have let him walk... Instead he's here acting like a little Biatch! Yeah, I saw this coming a few months ago, and immediately wished MJ had granted his release. My gut tells me he walks sometime before January like he did in San Antonio. It's up to Crash 'n Jack to keep the team together because I think things will just get nastier and nastier with Larry has his comments to the press. Hope I'm wrong, but this is already looking ugly.
