I would do it for Reggie Evans and future 2nd rounder but I would rather wait until Dec.-Feb. just in case he is needed early on.

Diaw is much better than Evans and I would never swap them straight up. I'd do it if it was Evans/Jack for Diaw, but we'd definitely have to have another deal lined up for Augustin or Livingston.

Nice find!
I'm not really interested, but it'd at least have to start with Jack...and maybe a bad contract swap for part of their TPE or Evans I guess. Thing with him tho he was never a big contributor and I've read where he's declining. He is an expiring (I think) and I imagine LB would like him.
I think the Raps would have to find a third team since we apparently have no interest in who they offered before...only way I see them dealing with us...

Diaw is our best post scorer. Keep him.

Yeah...you have to think that if we're hesitant about trading Boris for Harris Toronto is pretty much SOL without another team.

I might do Diaw and Augustin for Jack and Ed Davis . I don't really like it but it would depend on how bad Brown wants another point.

Diaw and Diop for Caleron and Evans
Diaw for Jack And Evans
Diaw and Carroll for Caleron and Davis

My gut feeling is that we have a deal in place to move DJ IF we can get somebody in here we feel comfortable can be our starting PG. We aren't going to move DJ, however, and leave the cupboard bare unless we can get that player in here first.

There really isn't anyone on the Raptors that I would want. Bring in a third team or move along, you silly Canadians.

Ditto. DJ just needs to regain his confidence and toughen up on defense, and he can be a quality PG. I want to see him bounce back after one ugly season and prove his doubters wrong.

After the fiasco that took place over the past weekend, I am too exhausted to comment on rumours. I have to wait and hear that a deal is DONE before I believe it or comment on it again. Just too early to get the old brain focused on a trade that seems close, and then disappears.

I like Jack...was thinking he'd be a good "get" during the draft if we lost out on the 3 PGs and traded the May pick back for value. He's not on a bad contract, but I have to think if people weren't happy with Felton they wouldn't be with Jack. He's a better shooter from long range, but he tends to have lazy spurts on both sides of the ball.
Personally (and I don't know that the FO feels the same way) Toronto doesn't have enough value to add in for me to take Caleron. 10 per for 3 years is pretty toxic IMO.
I'd think about your first trade, avoid the hell out of the 2nd (aren't UNC PFs cursed?) and would probably do the 3rd trade IF protection on that pick is very minimal.
There really isn't anyone on the Raptors that I would want. Bring in a third team or move along, you silly Canadians.

Disclaimer: I am, apparently, really slow on the uptake.
However, knowing that Spectre and SWedd typically know this stuff inside and out, I was confused as to why they would spell Calderon's name as "Caleron.". Well, gentlemen, it just now occured to me why. Good stuff and +1 to each of you.

There is no "D" in Caleron...because he plays no "D".
What's telling is I got that off the Raps' forum like 3 years ago. They hate him and have for years. Remember they've continually been on the bottom in D ratings since he's been there and IMO he's a major culprit. If your PG can't guard a chair then it causes the entire group to continually try and cover...which pretty much kills team defense.
Y'all know I have doubts about DJ, but given the choice I'd take him over Caleron 100 times out of 100.

I can't claim ownership. When the first Caleron trade talks popped up this summer I saw spectre do it and thought it was hilarious, and true. So I've been doing it ever since.
It's extremely versatile. For example. Anrea Bargnani. DeSagana Dip. Bori Diaw.

I have been having epiphanies all day. It started with me peeling a banana from the bottom for the very first time. It is so much easier that way and I never knew or had even considered it before. Thereafter the Caleron flash of brilliance just hit me out of nowhere. These things have blown my mind.

Why not just bring in Jose? I think he would work really well here......plus we could get him for just Diaw and that way we would still have DJ to fall back on. Not to mention we also have Shaun and Sherron who I think can both start for us if need be.
However, if we could get Calderon(Or Jack), we probably would deal DJ. I want him to stay but I think Jack and Jose and upgrades and I would be willing to let him go for a good center....not another PF!

Nazr Mohamme
Tysn Chandler-any offense he provided on putbacks was negated by his 4 Offensive fouls per game (usually when he wan't even near the ball).
Probably a reason Jeff McInni had neither O's or D's in his name from birth and I took the 's' off for no skill.

Not to bring up a "dormant" horse, but could we do this and then use the TPE to help give Denver the salary relief they're looking for and net Harris from NJ? Just a thought.

With our recent...and non-recent history of drafting, why would we be interested in giving away Diaw? His versitility alone brings us insurance at every position on the floor (albeit for 10-15 minutes). Sure he's out of shape, but he's servicable and versitile (two things we tend to miss out on when drafting players).

What about a 4 team trade like this:
Charlotte Bobcats gets C Jason Thompson, PG Jarrett Jack, and PF Reggie Evans
Toronto Raptors get PF Boris Diaw, PG Beno Udrih,SF Peja Stojakovic, and 6.2 Million dollars from Charlotte
Sacramento Kings get PG D.J. Augustin and C Nazr Mohammed
New Orleans gets 14.3 Trade Exception and 2nd rd pick from Toronto

I think it's fairly even. We were rumored to be looking into a DJ for JT swap but it ultimately fell through. Now we can revisit that with their front court being crowded. Nazr is a good "elder statesman" for that young team. I've also read recently that they would rather pair DJ with Tyreke than Beno so I can see a mutual interest between us and Sacto. Now Toronto is seemingly looking into acquiring Diaw again so they give up a PG and an expiring to do it. Fair enough.
I think the following would also be realistic: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2d67nzs
Jose/Livingston/Tank
Jack/Hendo/Hammer
Crash/UPS/McGuire
Tyrus/Diaw
Thompson/Nazr/Rogers/Kwame

Diaw and Carroll for Caleron and Davis
I agree with all of the the other 3 trades except for this one. Last year we had no real three point threat and it hurt us. And from all reports Carroll is still shooting lights out, and we need that option.

I'd do it probably, but only if we could find a way to not get rid of Crittenden. That's just giving up too much value. Other than that, though, your trade looked halfway decent.

Boris had his struggles last year, but those were mostly pre all-star break as he was adjusting to Jax's presence. The second half of the year he was pretty solid. He could definitely help some teams, particularly a team where he can be the focal point of the offense like Toronto. He flourished in that role for us 2 years ago.

I kinda feel like we should sit on Boris, certainly not the other way around. If Sherron Collins is sore and worn out so far in camp, gotta believe old Boris is about to die. Crepes for all! Parlez Vous! Whatever. He's so versitile, big, sharp, I don't think we should let him walk for anything easy. Toronto doesn't impress me at all. Is that Collangelo still up there? C'mon...we aren't dumb, none of their PG's impress me.... Forget it and have a good season Raptors, which quit being cool 2 weeks after Jurassic Park came to video.
