Found this over on a NBA Insidehoops article from the NY Post
According to someone on that party line, Portland proposed to have Nets point guard Devin Harris rerouted from Charlotte for Andre Miller. It appeared to be gaining some serious headway when Denver abruptly halted the perpetual permutation shuffling. NY Post

Devin Harris.
I think Miller is way too old to benefit us long term.

Miller is on a cheaper and shorter deal but is said to want to play longer, doesn't get hurt as much as Harris and we would have another million to throw around. Maybe we could have gotten Humphries back in that trade also.
Miller. He's the passer we'd lose with Diaw going out, and he's an expiring contract if need be. He could be a valuable trade piece and is a really good player even at his advance age.

Miller would be an awesome fit for this roster.

Love to have the guy, but Harris is the player I'd rather have after this year. Much younger and not a defensive liability. Love to grab either one though.

I'd rather Devin Harris, but the FO and LB would probably prefer Miller. LB because Miller is more of a setup PG and the FO because of his contract...which I think is only guaranteed for like 3 million next year.
Miller ain't chopped liver...he has one of the sickest post up games for a PG that I've seen since maybe Kidd. Boy can't shoot for crap outside the arc though.

How much more tread does Miller have on his tires though? He is around that age where a player's skills usually start deteriorating quickly.
he only has two years left on his contract right? i take him for now, harris is more expensive, long term and very fragile

It'd be a band-aid for this season only. Devin tho more expensive would be for now and the future.
Andre Miller, $7.2 million: The 2011-12 year on his contract is non-guranteed, which makes him valuable both as a contract and as a point-guard fix, but with Jerryd Bayless not ready to be a full-time point guard, Miller probably isn’t being moved unless Bayless takes a huge step forward, or if you are offering a younger point in a package deal which includes Miller. He's actually unguaranteed for next season. Last December Marc Stein had him as the "No 1 player who could be on the move" because of his contract.
