preseason: Charlotte Bobcats @ Orlando Magic 10/14

The last time we saw these guys, We were watching the 4'3" Jameer Nelson light us up in the playoffs. I'm sure Ray is still having flashbacks about that series.

What would you guys like to see out of tonight's game?

What would I like to see out of this game? Well....I would actually like to SEE it. but as far as players, I'd like Sherron to play a bit better, and I would mind seeing Matty C get in there a little longer.

- Good game from Hendo to prove he can play in this league
- Good game from DJ (more than 2 assists please).
- Would love for TT to dominate 'Shard Lewis.
- Would like to see more Mr. Rogers. I'm intrigued by what he can do with big minutes and whether he could be competitive for us, perhaps even a sleeper in the year's draft.

I just want to see the starting lineup show they are starting to gel and be competitive with Orlando's starting lineup. I think our backups will be fine. But my concern is the starters and can they compete with the rest of the East.

A good game from DJ, especially if he's matched up with Nelson most of the time would go a long way towards helping his confidence/relationship with LB.

It'd be nice to see DHoward get T'ed up a couple times, I'd like for GW and Jax to play no more than 20-25 minutes (those are the two we can least afford to lose to injury).

I'd like to see Carroll vs Reddick and for Matt to come out on top.

And I'd like to see DHoward put on a poster (TT, GW, UPS or McGuire are most likely options).

Very interesting so far this pre season. Not seeing a whole lot to be enthused about except for UPS. Kid is a solid player. But no Howard, no Carter, no Lewis, and still we cannot seem to even compete? Just not very inspiring.

Especially since Hammer, Darius Miles, Dominic McGuire, and Sherron Collins have ALL played more minutes than Crash and Jack. But really, I can see how you came to your conclusion....... This is the reason I haven't paid any attention at all to anything Bobcats-related since training camp. If I look at the roster, keep up-to-date on what's going on in these exhibition--er preseason games, look at boxscores, player/coach interviews, I'll join the doom-and-gloom train, and frankly, that's a shitty way to feel BEFORE the season begins. There's a good chance we will in fact, suck balls, but I don't want any part of that frame of mind until the season opens in Dallas, and even then I don't want it, but if it becomes reality, so be it. I'm assuming the boys aren't doing well so far, guessing they are winless, hoping Jack or Crash aren't hurt, but really, at this point ignorance is bliss and my battery's are getting their final charge before the season commences.

Wake me when the games matter. GO CATS!!!

here is my take. it is obvious that jax and crash are allowed to loaf through the preseason. i completely agree with this. they need the rest and lord knows they will get their minutes during the season. but, dj and the rest of the pg's have been battling to see who's team this is. and the thing is, they all suck. and pretty bad. sure dj can score, but again, he is looking more like a jason terry 6th man than a starting pg. i really do think we are in trouble this year. i see a similar start to last season with a november panic trade of doris for calderon or something like that. maybe we strike it rich and get andre miller in some melo trade concoction. but, this just isn't shaping up to be a great start to the season. and not because we are losing preseason games, but because we are an incomplete team at 2 positions.

In the highlights on NBA.com DJ had 2 very nice "creating" assists. One to Gana that Toocool mentioned and another penetration into the paint/kickout to Boris.

The kid has it in him...we just need to see a lot more of that.
