West:
1. Lakers
2. Dallas
3. Oklahoma City

Notes: Dallas could very easily be the number one team out West given their depth. Jason Terry, Tyson Chandler, and Shawn Marion will all be bench players. Butler, Dirk, Haywood, and Kidd is a nice core. Be on the look out for Beaubois (I think he's going to be a contender for Most Improved Player). Why didn't I list Denver? Carmelo is as good as gone, that's why. Oklahoma and Portland are young teams on the rise and Utah and Phoenix will trend down. The Lakers are the team to beat, but I'm concerned about their depth. Kobe also played like shit during periods last season. We'll see how healthy he can be this year.
East:
1. Miami

Notes: Miami is one key injury away from falling to the first seed to the last seed. Boston is the deepest team in the East, but also the oldest. Orlando is still stuck being a competitor, but an early exit (Chicago might end up being better than them). Collison will do wonders for the Pacers. Mikwaukee will be one of the most fun teams to watch in the NBA. New York will finally make the playoffs if Amare stays injury free. Charlotte does not have any depth and huge question marks at both the center and point guard positions so they will not make the playoffs this year.
