What the heck is up with him? I just got back from the game and I am quite upset with Jack. Why? He doesn't hustle at all, he isnt consistent AT ALL and he is ALWAYS whining.

What really set me off is when he was complaining about a non call and he sat under the goal while the rest of the team busted their arses down to the other end.

If he's gonna be a little b**** this season then deal him and Diaw to get some other pieces that want to hustle and make shots. We need a BIG upgrade at center fast. Jack=Who?

And yes I know it's only the second game.......

Agreeded . I could not belive he just watched , After early in the first and the early foul calls he was useless.

there is an interesting trade idea on realgm that has rudy gay/thabeet for crash/nazr with some argument over firsts and xavier henry. if we did that and turned jax into a young point guard and 3 point shooter like jj reddick we could be talking.

Good meeting some of the Planeteers tonight. I couldn't understand what LB was doing with Diop in the game late, and only took him out after he fouled out. I'd so much rather have TT getting those crucial minutes.

GW missing 6 freethrows was tough to swallow, so was the 2 misses on 3 pointers (first by DJ, next my Jack). It was one of the few nights I had opportunity to have same attire as MJ (he was actually wearing the 'promotional' shirt tonight).

We need to bounce back in a hurry (trip to Milwaukee while it's still semi-warm is something we need to take advantage of). First off, ammofan et al, Jack was taken out of the game by the refs. I was right down by the court and there was nothing he did to earn either of his 2 quick fouls, nor was he given any calls down in the paint. It was pathetic. Now, they were equally bad, so I'm not complaining about the refs, but they did keep Jack from playing his game. It wasn't his attitude or LB's attitude, just simply that his game conflicted with what that bald douche wanted to do.

FWIW, Jack is a notoriously slow starter (he always plays like shit for the first few games). And I didn't see anything unusual from him last night - looked taken out of rhythm and frustrated. Other players don't react like Jack does because they're waiting to shoot 2 free throws; he's laying on the ground and the other team is running the other direction.

I've not been a big fan of Jackson on the court. I think he turns the ball over way too much and isn't as clutch as he talks about himself being. I think he's an average player with an explosive attitude. Not exactly leadership material. For every positive example there's a negative example. I think that could be overlooked if he was a consistent player, but he's not.

Would I trade him? I would. He has proven to go sour when things aren't going his way. That's not something you want in a leader.

Larry Browns teams always start slowly and the chemistry most times takes some time to develop. If we start 0-5 then we can hit the panic button. Till then let us see where we are at least after 5 games have passed. As good as Larry Brown is seen as a coach I think sometimes early in a season he is the real reason for the slow starts.

Yeah, the absolute worst lineup for us last night was DJ, Jack, GW, Boris and Diop and insane Larry would've stuck with that one 'til the bitter end if Diop hadn't fouled out. And not coincidentally, that was the lineup that ultimately lost the game for us. How 'bout DJ, Boris, GW, UPS, and Tyrus?

I'm not ready to throw Jack under the bus, but there is something "off" with him these first couple games. Maybe putting more pressure on himself to help DJ create shots for teammates, yet he pounds the air out of the ball and turns it over. Injury? I don't know, but definitely bears watching.

I don't understand why Tyrus isn't starting. Diaw doesn't do anything. I don't care if he so called helps "spread the floor". He does nothing on either end of the court. Capt. Jack on the other hand isn't playing with fire or hunger right now. DJ is fine at the point,Tyrus is 6th man material right now, it's our bigs and turnovers thats lead to 0-3

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned. Jack is involved in a "nasty" divorce. Is it really hard to imagine that something like that could have rattled him? This isn't to make an excuse for his performance on the court, but for someone that makes love to pressure like they make love to their wife, it seems clear that Captain Jack has been in part Swagger Jacked. He doesn't seem to have the same mindset on the court this season, and I think that might be why. For the guy who leads the league in confidence I haven't seen it this year. Blame whatever you want, but I feel bad for the cat who seems to have entered this year doubting himself for the first time in his life. He looks old and rattled, even his yelling at the officials seems pitiful and almost like a cry for help. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this doesn't seem like the guy who flew down from Cali to play for the team the day he was traded.

Has anyone noticed that Jax has the slowest upfake and go in the league? He does a great job on the fake but then rocks backward a little instead of going past the defender in the air. It absolutely kills the concept of the upfake by allowing the defender to come down and get back in position. I don't know that means he'd just rather settle for the jumper, has poor mechanics or none of the above. Whatever it is, it was frustrating me last night.

Ginobli is the exact opposite. I want to punch him and Parker in the nose but those two guys are kinda fun to watch play together due to their ball movement and body control.
