As those of you who know TheBeagle or just met him over the past weekend now realize, his beard is more than just a beard. It's a way of life, its an inspiration that says we as humans can achieve amazing things.

His beard clearly needs its own day where we as members of BCP can heap appreciation upon it.

Great beard! I had one like it for a while in my early 30's. But once I started approaching 40, too much gray started showing up in the beard and it had to come off. Tried to grow it a couple years ago, and after 1 week there was so much gray showing up that I had to interrogate my mother on my actual date of birth. Oh for the days of our youth!

Damit, I'm in my early 30's and I can't grow a beard cause I have too much gray. I think that might come from being a longtime Bobcats fan. :)

Can't say I'm not humbled or slightly embarassed by this thread, but I appreciate the honor and recognition bestowed upon me on behalf of my beard. I remember like it was just yesterday, my girlfriend in 7th grade running her hand over my face and saying, "Oh look, you got peach fuzz," making our friends point and laugh at me. I vowed on that day that I'd show 'em all one day and grow a beard of such magnitude that they'd rue the day they laughed at my "peach fuzz." All I can say to that, as I stroke my good friend (er, the beard, that is), is "We've come a long way, baby!"

Thanks go out to Moses, Stonewall Jackson, the Amish, orthodox Jewish rabbis, and Michael Jackson's former wives, all of which are among the greatest and my favorite beards in history. Of course my greatest thanks go out to Baron "B-Dizz" Davis, who inspired me to just let it go, and gave me his official seal of approval (signed and certified) last season when the Clips were in town. I couldn't've done it without you!

Finally, thank you, ziggy, for making November 2 "TheBeagle's Beard Appreciation Day;" it's an honor I won't soon forget!

Beagle, your beard is most certainly welcome.

I would definitely rock a beard, but unfortunately my hair (beard included) started to turn gray at the young age of 28 :facepalm:

As you all know, at times our school systems (public, private and those with bars and only 60 minutes of internet time per week) tend to miss some of the relevant information.

Three examples that seem appropriate for this thread are some well known, but incomplete quotes from rather famous people:

"Friends, Romans, Beagle's Beard, Countryman, lend me your ear...or at least your beard pick"

"I have a dream that one day, Beagle's beard will grow thumbs and be able to master NBA2K11"
