If you've been looking at the numbers John Wall has been putting up then this the question that you are probably asking
http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w301/bobcatsplanet/imagesqtbnANd9GcQoE-BxmiRNRpTq8kHKZ.jpg
Already he has put up a triple double in just his 6th game and had 9 steals in his second game. The kid is ridiculous and I can't wait to see how the bobcats guards hold up against him.

Crazy-ass Gilbert Arenas is also back in the lineup, With the way Gil likes to pack heat, this attire may be appropriate if you are attending the game up in the DC area.

Guys, Do we get our 3rd win of the season tonight?

Keys to this game:
- Wizard vs Saint, Wizard will probably be a star, Saint is been very solid and is playing well.
At a glance, Wall would whoop the ass of DJ, but DJ is no pushover, and I think we'll see him continue to be aggressive with his shot and set up teammates well. However, Wall also turns the ball over at an extreme rate of 5 TO's per game. If Bobcats are able to capitalise on this with our hopefully improving D, it'll help us in our win.
- Tyrus getting more PT
My man TTime is balling. Almost singlehandedly saved us vs the Raptors late in the game, and his defensive pressure is pure awesome. McGee's got crap all on Tyrus in terms of athleticism, and I hope TT gets more time
-Gilbert
Only thing to say here is that Cpt. Jack has a bigger gun than Gil does. And Cpt Jack isn't afraid to use it, unlike Gil
-Our Bench
The three musketeers, Hendo, TT and Livingston. TT and Hendo are producing well in their minutes, and Livingston is slowly starting to remove that rust. Most dramatically is Hendo, as now they actually have to guard him or he'll pull up for a very deadly and accurate Hill-esque mid range jumper, or drive to the rack. UPS has been a slight disappointment as we've been hoping for big things since pre-season, but I expect him to bounce back sooner or later.
-Our Center
Nazzy might have a few problems with McGee's athleticism, but thats about it. McGee doesn't really have any real offensive weapons to speak of, and Nazzy has a nice hook move which is used from time to time. Diop is a beast with his turnaround fadeaway jumper, in someone's face might I add and he will knock it down, even if Yao Ming's hand was in his face. He's a beast defensively in the paint, blocking shots and knocking down people, with the few minutes he gets I expect big defensive things from Diop now, a much stellar improved performance to last year.

Important game. If we dont want to be the cellar dweller in our Division, we need to step up and win this game. Will take an all around team effort. But we can do it.
Wiz suck. If we can't beat them, shit's gonna hit the fan.
Last year we were 3-6. Let's hope we can get there.

Isn't this DJ's first test against a dominant PG (figuring guys like Rose, Evans, etc.)? I don't rank Jennings of MIL in that category quite yet...tho he did throw in 13 consecutive points in the preseason then got a triple double in the "real" game.
Hmmm, maybe I should include Jennings.
Anyway, I agree Wall vs DJ will be the matchup, and Boris/TT trying to guard Blatche could get interesting too.

Considering BJ is the face of Under Armour basketball, and led his (previously) losing team to the playoffs as a rookie, I'd say he's up there.
And while he might not be dominant anymore, Tony Parker is still really, really effective.
Plus back in 08-09 didn't DJ outduel Rose in a game?
But yeah, this could be what Phil Jackson would call a "Brokeback Mountain game." DJ will have his hands full and there will be lots of penetration...

TP is great, but he's become somewhat more passive. At least he didn't display that vs. us.
DJ did get Rose that one game, but every one after that DJ hasn't held a candle to him. He like Evans looks to score and they take it hard to the hole, and the only real way to stop them is to have the other guy guarding the pick know what the hell they're doing.
Last year we used Crash on Noah/Felton on Rose and that did fairly well. Maybe we can utilize Crash in that role tonight too.

Dallas has a pretty good PG too in case you forgot. I think the Key tonight with DJ is to not worry as much about what Wall is or is not doing, he's their centerpiece, he'll probably get great stats...hopefully in a loss for them. DJ just needs to slow him down a bit and let our long-armed, quick jumpers protect the rim and passing lanes.

look on page 11 of this link...pretty important for us to get out to a quick start. We are 2-0 on the road this year when we lead after the 1st quarter...and 0-3 on the road when we are down after the 1st quarter.
Here is link to Wizards game notes so you can learn more about the opponent we swept last season 4-0 in regular season matchups: http://www.nba.com/wizards/news/notes.pdf

I wasn't designating any we'd played thus far as good or bad; my focus was on dominant scoring PGs that take it to the hole. Kidd is certainly still a good/great PG...but he doesn't fall in the above category.

Great road victory! Crash showed up tonight. DJ held his own vs Wall, but his 4 TO's aggravated me. But he was still very solid. Diaw came up big tonight. Very good win!

Great night overall for our Division standing also. Orlando, Atlanta and Washington lose and Miami is idle. We gained on everyone!

Great games from Boris, DJ, GW.
Special mention seriously goes to DJ. As I said in the chat, he played brilliant. 4 TO's sure, but he defended as hard as he could against wall and mainly kept him out of the paint which was a huge bonus. Also was running the offense well, giving to the open man when he could. I first thought he could have been blown out of the water by Wall, but to his credit on a match up vs Wall, DJ beat Wall.
Most of Walls stats anyway came when livingston was playing on him

And Miami lost last night. Great games for DJ, GW and Boris Wow. I'm really digging this new Boris, or should I say, the Boris that most closely resembles his first year here. He still makes his share of bonehead plays, but like I mentioned in I think the SA game thread, he's just so much more engaged on the court this year as opposed to most of last. What a great 2 man game he and DJ had, especially the huge 3 at the end where Boris drives past Blatche and Wall gives a half-hearted attempt to help, leaving DJ open, where Boris flicks it out to him.
For whatever reason, the game was blacked out here for the 1st qtr, but hearing the stats about it from Steve and Dell, thankfully so. And for the second straight game, Jack misses everything, but comes through with some big plays down the stretch. All in all, considering our entire offense was produced by only three fellas and the team commits 24 TOs, this was a huge win, and just like that it's .500 ball on the road. Now about that home record....
