This team is just not going to get it done.

I still think we can make the playoffs, etc but who cares. At best we will be a 6-7-8 seed and swept or close to it again, i don't consider that success when i am shelling out thousands every year at games

My breakdown:

DJ - has come into his own and is even starting to finish at the basket. I really liked Felton as a persona nd he was always super cool with my son and I but i don't think we lost much letting him go now that DJ is performing and Livingston is proving to be a capable backup

Jax - He is Jax the good the bad and the ugly. One thing i will say is the guy at least gives a sh!t every game and does his thing. Sometimes it is good and sometimes not, still he is a capable 2

GW - I hate to say this but he is pretty much all we have that would generate trade interest and i think it should be explored at this point. With his style of play he is at best on the downside of his prime and as others have pointed out we love him in CLT for good reason but on a real contender he is at best a 2nd choice and most likely a third. He gets by on heart and hustle and athleticism but the talent just isn't there and his body will just go down from here. With TT and D Brown working into the lineup well i would never say GW is expendable but if we get the right value back or are able to shed garbage like Diop with him we ned to look at it

Boris - I have opine on him enough in the past. Lots of talent, will never play up to his potential. If no one else wants him he has a role here. If we can package him and get value we should. I would not call it rebuilding because we never built in the first place but cmon guys this is anot a winning roster

Nazr - Is old, he has his great games and his useless ones. He is a good journeman backup and that is it

TT - Raw talent that cana nd will grow - a building block for us

D Brown - Needs defense but is a solid backup and will get better with time and minutes

Livingston - Decent backup and a solid value for what he is being paid, can create mismatches and with minutes contributes

Diop - Not worth typing about

Najera - Same

Carroll - Shooter, we all know that - overpaid but we are stuck with it. Nice guy, if we can include him in a package we should otherwise we have to ride it out

K Brown - Who knows, if in shape he can be a decent backup center but we still need a starting center and the fact is we do not have one

D Mcguire - A poor mans D brown - Enough said

Collins - Is burger King still open and if so is he meeting Diaw there for a midnight snack

Henderson - Isn't playing enough to really know

The reality of it is that the east is such garabage we are only 1-2 games out of the playoffs even having played this badly. We also are close in a lot of games but basketball is not horseshoes. We have a solid PG (and backup), SG, PF (And backup), a all star in GW at SF but has maxed out and no center.

Time to put our chips on the table and actually try and build a team that we can expect to win. I lvoe the team, still go to all the games, get excited at each game whether we are 12-3 (yeah right) or 3-12 but cmon MJ give us a real team

Pretty good analysis. The one person I have major issues with that most fans here dont is Jax. He is good when his scoring is on; but when he is off, he can shoot us right out of the game. But my 2 biggest issues with him is his high TO rate - which is my pet peeve - and his attitude on the court at times. When he gets blocked or loses the ball and thinks he was fouled, he stands back and pouts at the ref. That leaves the rest of the guys to play 4-5 defense. That kind of garbage just pisses me off. And then he keeps on jawing at the ref until he can get a Technical Foul called on himself. Why? So the other team can have a free point? Not like the refs are going to listen to a word he says and change the way they call the game. It only hurts us. And he does this way too often. That is my Thanksgiving rant. Now, time to get ready for some turkey!

I agree with that totally. I dont think Jack should eb in our future but I also dont want to give him up for scrub players in a trade. I would much rather deal Crash for Melo.

Guys - I agree with you fully, I do not think however that Jax has a ton of trade value around the league andi think if we did move him we would get sh!t in return so i vote to keep him. Wallace on the other hand will have trade value and as i much as i like him as a person and agree he brings a ton to the team i think with our yourger guys filling in for what wallace is goood at he is the only piece we can move to really fill the holes we have as we simply must get a center.

If you watch TT play he brings most of the same elements of the game that wallace has making them somewhat redundant. D brown does this to a lesser extent but can be our bench guy.

I feel good at PG, can live with Jax at 2 as he would not shoot us out of games if someone else would actually step up and help carry the load. I think vs 18 months ago we are overstocked at the 4 and need to move Diaw who also i believe has some trade value and then we can build a legitimate roster

The fact is this team as constructed at it's very est will be last year all over and that is at it's very best. We deserve more than that,,,,,,,,,,,, Losing G-Force would hurt but not as much as wallowing away on the bottom end of mediocrity for the next 3 years
