View Full Version : Would You Do This Trade?
Between us and the Clippers?
Kaman and Foye for Wallace and Diaw..
Cats Line up:
PG Augustin/Livingston/Collins
SG Foye/Henderson/Caroll
SF Jackson/Brown/McGuire
PF Thomas/Mohammed/Najera
C Kaman/Brown/Diop
Clips Line up:
PG Davis/Bledsoe
SG Gordon/Butler/Warren
SF Wallace/Gomes/Aminu
PF Griffin/Diaw/Cook
C Jordan/Smith/Collins
Kaman and Foye for Wallace and Diaw..
Hmmm, I'd be very tempted. My worry is Kaman has apparently been awful this year, worse than Crash.

No......Den likes Crash and I would much rather get Melo/Nene or Melo/Martin than Foye/Kaman

for the first time in awhile i agree completely with ammo. kaman is ok, but not worth wallace. the risk with melo is we better get a pick back because he is certainly a one year rental. unless you are jordan and your thinking is, rent melo until the end of the season, trade him extension coming to NYK for gallo, picks, curry, wilson chandler.

What would you guys think about Aminu and Kaman for Crash? He would actually be a nice SF prospect for us.

I think Aminu is terrible, and was easily the most overrated player in the draft after Hayward BUT I'd love to be wrong and a solid big would do wonders for this team.

Umm, no. He has been very solid this year. He's putting up 7.6 PPG and 3.4 RPG in only 17.6 minutes. He's also shooting 48% on field goals and 52% on threes. He is most certainly not terrible and I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

Loved Foye in college, but he is nothing but a journeyman in this league. Kaman is not up to par on D and not impressing me this year.

Just my opinion, I know the guy is young and all but he didn't impress me that much in ACC play either. Dude doesn't get a bunch of minutes because he can't beat out Rasual Butler and generally looks lost on the court for a team thats awful to begin with. Again, he's only 19 but I'm really not going to jump up and down if he's the guy we get to replace Wallace.

I can't stand Foye. He's like a less smart Flip Murray.

Taking a closer look at his numbers, Farouq has cracked the rotation over the past nine games and has been quite impressive. Over that span he's averaging 13 ppg and shooting the 3 at about 48%. He appears to be MUCH improved in that area compared to what he was in college. I agree with WFU4LIFE that I would definitely make this trade and it has nothing to do with us being Wake homers. He's been one of the more impressive rookies of late and could certainly grow into an excellent SF for us in the future. Good call rsxnova. I definitely like this more than Kaman/Foye.
I do question whether the Clips would trade Kaman though. He's struggled a bit this year, but he was still an all-star C last season and I haven't been overly impressed with DeAndre Jordan.

^ Agreed! Foye was a "prized prospect" in Minnesota that never reached his potential (kinda like McCants), overrated in Washington, and once again overrated in LA. He would do nothing in Charlotte because he's a combo guard (which everyone knows those are never good in a starting lineup) without the court smarts or defensive ability to be successful. Kaman isn't playing to the level to give up Wallace for him and I feel like neither team would get anything good for their teams out of this trade.

Some of you are delusional. The Cats are not getting Melo. Period. He'd rather resign with Denver than come here. It isn't going to happen.
To answer the OP: yes, I'd do that trade in a heartbeat. Kaman is immediately better than any center the Bobcats franchise has ever had. His numbers have dropped this year because of Blake Griffin coming back.

The Nets have assigned Terrence Williams to their N.B.A. Development League affiliate in Springfield, Mass.
「I feel the best course of action for Terrence and the team at this time is for him to play in the D-League,」 King said. 「He is currently on the inactive list and this move will allow him to play until he is once again placed on the active list. There is no timetable on his return to the active list.」
