Check this article out, from CBS Sports to boot. Summary: Get TT 40 min/game and this team could be a winner!

The way Diaw has been playing there hasn't been a need to play Thomas heavy minutes, but, I think Thomas is worthy of 35 plus mins or more and think that Diaw and some pieces could get us a legitimate starting center, which in turn could give Thomas more mins at PF.

give him 35+ minutes and you will witness the most retarded things you've ever seen on a basketball court. No thanks. Keep him as a 6th man for 25minutes per game.

He needs more minutes, true. But he also needs to do his part and stop picking up the dumbest of fouls the moment he touches the court...

They need to keep giving Diaw big minutes to shop him for the trade that is inevitably coming. I suppose the idea is that Diaw will ultimately bring more in return if he is playing 35 minutes a game and putting up decent numbers than if he is a 6th man. By the end of the season TT will be getting all the minutes he wants. Let's hope he continues to grow up and play well.

Yeah, I know he's a fan favorite at the TWC and here and elsewhere, but I'm not sold on the dude. He plays hard; I'll give him that. But he's just so out of control that I'm almost terrified when he has the ball in his hands....and then there's the fact he is mentally unstable. Also, he's way too soft in the post both offensively and defensively. He must have some phobia with having his back to the basket with the ball in his hands. The writer talks of Boris being doughy (and he is) but he uses the dough in the post, and uses it to defend guys much taller than him whereas Tyrus gives up position to bigger guys.

All that said, with the fianancial commitment given him, eventually he does need to be freed so as to see if there is something there or if he's just an "energy guy" off the bench.

You dont pay your bench players 8+ million a year... just saying. Between our two power forwards we are paying around 16+ Mil. for about 20 ppg and maybe 10 boards. Doesnt sound like good business sense to me.

Tyrus was getting clowned by Philly of all teams.

Diaw is the better player by far right now, but because of how the season is going I'd go ahead and start him now. The team is absolutely terrible right now and I don't think they can get worse...

Perspective is important, last year we were paying $25M for our Centers and they took up 4 roster spots...and didn't get us 20 & 10 combined either.

I understand keeping it in perspective, and I dont want to sound like a know-it-all, or a jerk, but I think that trend is one reason we have about reached our ceiling with this roster. I like Tyrus a lot! I really dont mind giving him that kind of money, but you have to do that having an important role in place for him (which they kind of do). Its tough right now because Diaw is a big facilitator of our offense. If we were to get rid of him I think our offense would suffer IMMENSELY, and not because he is a huge scorer, but because his role in our offense is very important. But in saying all of that I am very cool with giving Tyrus some more PT, I love his energy, and he can pull bigs away from the basket with his jumper!

BTW -Anyone think there is any chance at all (although it would greatly impact the ebb and flow of our team) that there would be a realistic situation where you could package Diaw and Mohammed in a deal to get a decent player? Cause those are about the only assets that we would be willing to get rid of that would be of any value to another team. Just curious to hear some thoughts.

I really don't. Quality centers are such a rare commodity I just don't see any team being willing to trade one away, and if they did it would certainly take more than Boris and Naz. Our best bet would be someone like Thomspon, who we've discussed to death on here, but the Kings don't have any interest in Diaw or Nazr. They need a PG and we aren't in a position to trade DJ, so I'm afraid we're stuck.
