Here are the current problems with the Bobcats in my opinion. I believe these are the reasons we aren't performing well at the moment. Ill break it down by player

DJ --- He is not attacking the basket. Seems afraid of getting blocked. He needs to aggressively drive to the basket.

Jack --- Lackadaisical defense. If too many picks are set, he is not running through the picks, leaving his player wide open.

Gerald --- Teams have figured out how to stop him (let him shot the mid range shot and defend his move to the basket). This has resulted in numerous charges and wasted possessions.

McGuire --- Offensively horrendous, yet shoots way to many shots and gets way too much playing time. Seems to drastically overestimate his skill set.

Larry Brown --- 1) a) Needs to settle in on a better rotation method. Rotations are all out of sorts. Too many games we never see Nazr after the first half no matter if he is having an amazing game. b) In need of offense, this is usually the 4th quarter lineup we see.... livingston, mcguire, kwame brown. Come on Larry, we need to actually score points to win. 2) Please play Derrick Brown. The guy atleast brings energy.

3 point defense --- It cant be that hard to figure out that we need to start guarding the three point line. Stop leaving guys wide open.

DJ doesn't attack the paint as much as everyone is used to because he's not suicidal. How many times have you seen DJ go up for a layup and come down on both feet? He's 5'11 and nowhere near as solid as Ray. We also have the worst floor spacing out of any team in the NBA. Most nights the entire team is guarded with 4 guys keeping at least one foot in the paint. Larry wants DJ to attack that lane? I wish I was courtside so I could laugh in his face.

Jack is too cool to play defense.

Gerald shows the ball every time he gets ready to drive too. Its predictable like the Jets on first down. Stack up, plant your feet, laugh as he turns the ball over, gets his shot blocked, or gets called or a charge.

McGuire... He can't shoot at all. Ever. But unlike UPS, he actually attempts to make the defense take him seriously. UPS has shown only one time this season that he's willing to take shots and be relevant outside of 5ft. Thats got to be frustrating for McGuire, LB, and Derrick...

LB has his pride, he said he's boycotting the 3pt line, and he meant it.

Save some players, there is an astounding lack of effort, energy and sense of urgency. There certainly are other problems, but until the team can collectively genuinely care about their craft and the performance they as a unit put out there, this mess will continue. This is especially confounding to me, considering hustle, heart and dedication were things all previous Bobcat teams could hang their hat on. As Mike told them Saturday night, this is embarrassing and needs to stop.

Not enough Nazr and too much Kwame. Too much Najera and McGuire. Seriously Larry leave the good players in the game. Kwame Brown? Eduardo Najera? Who are these guys? Good job trading a future first rounder for Alexis Ajinca. But I think we've got a good core. Let them feel it out in a game Larry! DJ, Naz, Jack, GW, Tyrus. Stop starting Diaw! Tyrus is a BEAST! That's all I got right now.

Too many games we never see Nazr after the first half no matter if he is having an amazing game.

This frustrates me to no end about LB and he did the same thing last year. On numerous occasions Nazr has been at or near double figures in the 1st quarter then he gets yanked and plays 5 more minutes the rest of the game. I just don't understand that. LB tries to explain it away by talking about match ups but our biggest problem is that we can't score. Further, Naz has been holding his own defensively against other Cs this season. He's even had several games with multiple blocked shots. Nazy could be averaging 13-14 pts a night if he played like a starter. When Nazr is having his "on" nights he shouldn't come out of the game until he misses 2 shots in a row. I get that he can't go 30 mins a night given his age and health issues, but he needs to be playing more than he is right now.

It's Larry, he sets the whole tone. Gerald doesn't have enough of a strong personality to lead, in my humble, slightly uninformed opinion. (Met Gerald once...can't fully judge, just guessing) DJ certainly doesn't not with Larry running after WINS to tell him what he did wrong. Making things not fun, saying you don't do anything right, it's a whole culture of "I know I'm doing right and if I'm not it's because Larry or (Player) pissed me off. If we don't win it's on them." Haven't heard anyone, except Larry, say "It's on me." And Larry says it as a way out. Like somebody is going to say, well Larry says it's on him, don't worry. he's on it.

There are plenty of problems and plenty of culprits, but I too have a bone to pick with LB. Overall I support him and think he's done a good job, but i have to get back on the Nazr soapbox again for a moment.

Last night Nazr was our leading scorer and rebounder. He had 18/8 midway through the third quarter and was a key factor when we took control of the game in the 2nd half. Nevertheless, LB inexplicably benches him for the final 18 minutes of the game. Then in the post game press conference, he praises several other guys, but doesn't even mention Nazr. But the part that really infuriated me is how he became defensive when the reporter asked how he felt about Nazr's contribution to the win, insulting the guy with his typical "all you guys care about is scoring" spiel. Newsflash Larry, scoring does matter and our team happens not to be very good at it. You might want to consider playing the guys who can actually put the ball in the basket. Again, I'm not anti-LB, but the stubborn, crotchety old-man routine does wear thin at times.
