playoffs...PLAYOFFS?

Anyone else concerned about this after the Pistons game? Aside from the blocked shots, there seemed to be confusion when we were on defense... we turned the ball over a lot and we took a lot of 3 pts.

The Pistons weren't make their shots at first, but when they started getting going, all of these things were coming back to bite us. I'm concerned that we won't be able to win many games against other opponents if the coaching staff doesn't address this..thoughts?

As I've said many times before, the main problem on this team is a talent issue. A coaching change will not make the Bobcats better.

The Pistons were on the second game of a back to back. To top it off, the last game they played was against Chicago and it went into overtime. To top if off, they were on the road in the second game. The Bobcats only won by five points. The defense is much worse this year.

I think our team getting used to a new coach more than offsets everything negative about the Pistons.

I disagree about the lack of talent. there's enough talent on this team to put us in the playoffs..

i'm more concerned about playing style under Silas. mainly, a lot of 3pts, not much defense and too many turnovers

Shooting 17 3s isn't a problem when you make 10 of them. Detroit may not be a great team but they had a good shooting night tonight from deep, only had 13 turnovers to our 23, and we were without Wallace and we still won. It is sure better then losing to a bad team by 20.

We have tried to win by slowing it down, not shooting 3s and limiting turnovers for the last couple years. It is time to try something different.

Let's check this out:

We had our All-Star in street clothes.

We had less than a week of coaching from Paul & co.

We ran the ball so much the guys were clearly gassed.

If I'm not missing something, Gana, Hendo and Matt played their highest minutes of the season.

We had a 23 point lead.

We won.

Yes, there are some issues, but nothing that's shocking or terribly concerning. Hell, these guys are probably still confused between what LB wanted and what Paul wants. If these are still issues after the ASG, then we can be concerned. That's Paul's trial period, things should be ironed out by then.

I think we did fine. Sure our Defense was lackluster, but when has it really been good? DJ did a good job stopping penetration, Diop and TT were Blocking everything and even Nazzy had some good defensive plays. I think we did fine on D. 3pts are fine when it's guys like DJ, Carroll, Jack and Diaw chucking them up. It's simply TO's that are the big problem.

We just got tired on Defense....give us a few games and the guys will adjust to playing up-tempo.

Jackson should be called TNT - sometimes he's dynamite; the rest of the time he's Technicals and Turnovers.
