Well to be fair, this:

"(New coach Paul Silas) wants us to make plays and use our brains," Stephen Jackson said. "We're not like robots anymore."

....is pretty obvious to anybody watching. I don't think it's "sniping" at all.

I dont think Jackson would want that to be published in that contest. He was just being optimistic and saying that we have more freedom due to the different system where they have to think more not just run plays

Larry Brown asked for it. MJ hired him because Mj is his friend and he wanted to help LB rehabilitate his image from the Knicks debacle while also helping the Bobcats. And that is what happened. Then, LB did what LB always does. You asked for it so quit crying Larry. And I dont know if there is another MJ out there who is his friend who will want to hire LB. I really think this may have been the end of the line for the coach. I hope so at least. Time waits for no man Larry. And your time has passed.

Saying LB quit is about the same as me walking into work tomorrow drunk. Yeah, I showed up for work but nothing productive will happen. LB was going through the motions. He didn't really want to be here this year. Jordan pretty much forced LB to come back because he's under contract. I'm not even real sure if LB is actually a good coach, Hall of Fame or not.

Well, as a STH, I was becoming upset with paying to watch that thing he called an "offense," so I can't say as I'm concerned with how he feels it was portrayed.

Wait...what's wrong with going into work drunk? I'm much funnier and clever that way. And I'm a much better dancer.

Everybody knew it was a firing, we all just understood that MJ and whoever were trying to be nice by saying it was mutual. I'm sure they even said "Do you want us to say it was mutual?" in the exit interview or whatever. Larry, bitching again. I hate that we've all sort of dismissed him. It was special when he came in, it was great when he led the team to the playoffs. But he did what Larry does, as we all know, as NY, Philly, Indiana, Detroit, Clippers, Spurs, Nets...hell even Kansas, Davidson, for all I know, the damn Cougars....he's a serial offender of whatever you want to call it. Somebody said he comes in runs a 2 year basketball camp, bitches and moans about talent and leaves...good description. I didn't want to say "don't let the door hit ya" but damn, quit yer bitchin!

I think the only reason that the Front office claimed he stepped down was to avoid the backlash of Firing a HOF coach. We knew that it was a coaching problem, the idiot Celtic and Laker fans (who I argued this till I was blue in the face on CBS) and majority of the NBA didnt think it the same way and no one belives the Bobcats or MJ have a shred of creditbility when it comes to front office decisions.

It ain't just idiot Celtic & Laker fans. If MJ wants credibility then he needs to stop doing (or attempting) stupid shit.

Other than letting LB make decisions his first tear here, and almost trading for Caleron what's MJ done that's so bad?

Morrison in hindsight turned into a really bad pick, as did signing the extension for May Twice, Morrison once and Ajinca once....again in hindsight. And hiring Sam I am...however, all of those things occured when MJ was spending Bob's money. I would venture to say the only 'moves' done on MJ's ownership watch are TTime, not signing Ray, dumping Chandler. I realize TTime was just prior to ownership, but it had to have MJ & the other prospective owner's full buy-off.

MJ is a good owner though, if Robert Johnson still owned the majority, there is no way he would've eaten LB's contract and we would have attendance in the hundreds for the current homestand.

Personally, I'd like to see MJ be less a GM and more of an owner. I;d like to see him not just hire his buddies for positions within the organization and spend resources on getting an elite GM (like Morey) and elite scouts so we can become a good drafting organization.

I like MJ, and trust that he wants toa build a winner. But part of my concern when he was in that bidding war with Posthulos for the team was just this. MJ and the entire FO have not made the best of decisions over the past few years. They have lost so much credibility that it hinders their ability to make quality trades. I think that is why the biggest part of me wanted Posthulos to get the team. Starting with new people at the top who learned from the best would have been a good thing. But the concern was his disconnect from Charlotte and the Carolinas. Would he have moved the team the first viable opportunity he had come his way? We will never know. Now, we have to hope that MJ will become more of just an owner, and I think clean house and get an entire new FO who has a good reputation for making sound smart decisions. Then let them run the show and stay hands off. But I dont think MJ will do any of that. He will keep the same people in place, and stay involved in the day to day operations. And I just dont know if the franchise can flourish under this situation. Something has to change.

I dont understand why LB is so upset

He was obviously depressed about the team over the past month or so......he got a huge severance package....MJ purposely didnt want to embarrass him by saying he was fired

like WTF.......LB didnt want to be here anyway

As much as I repeat it I'm surprised you don't remember.

The aborted trade of Crash for TJ Ford. The only reason it fell thru other than LB was because Colangelo got greedy and asked for a pick as well.

That's a mega stupid lollipop moment and it's going to take some better than average trades to make up for it. IMO the offseason moves wasn't that at all either.

I've actually liked a lot of what he would have done in the draft if left to his own devices.

That's fair. But MJ wasn't truly involved in the player management process until after Larry's first season when MJ thought he could buy the team. And he's never liked Crash, either.

But targeting Brook Lopez, getting Jack, not trading for Baron unless it got Kaman, among others I think is pretty solid. As far as I can tell, MJ's a great judge of talent, but a horrid judge of value.

like WTF.......LB didnt want to be here anyway I know. Seems like the perfect scenario for Larry and he's still complaining. The Tar Heel in me still loves him, but dude is a fucking headcase and always will be. I mean, if I could be fired from being a Bobcats fan, I'd take that and head to the hills with a big ol' shiteatingrin!

In hindsight, Rudy Gay would have been the correct pick to make at #3 in that draft.

Hindsight is 20/20.
