Tyrus suspended for today's game against Philadelphia

Bobcats forward Tyrus Thomas has been suspended for Monday’s game at Philadelphia for a flagrant foul, penalty two against Hornets forward Emeka Okafor last Saturday. Thomas’ elbow struck Okafor’s head with 2:38 remaining in the fourth quarter of an 88-81 Charlotte loss. “We’ve got to come in with players not as good offensively,” interim coach Paul Silas said, referring to Thomas’ absence. “It’s going to be a real test for us. That’s what it’s all about.” Thomas is averaging 11.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.
