Looking for 2 additional people to Blog for BCP

I'd like to add 2 more people to our blogging rotation.

I'd like 2 more people who can do some game recaps and any other NBA writing that may strike their fancy. Bigcat is moving on to some other big things and I think a rotation of 4 bloggers would be optimal.

If you have the writing bug, this would give you the opportunity for your words to be seen by thousands of readers daily.

Let me know if anyone here is interested

I know a bunch of us stay away because some of the posters are just so irrationally angry, aggressive, and vulgar. If I wanted to listen to children play a game of "who can yell obscenities and insults louder", I would go over to realgm.

One thing that we can do is use the report button, If there is someone being overly aggressive, if a member hits the report button (the little triangle) then a message is automatically sent to the admin and mods letting us know.

With sometimes hundreds of posts happening each day, that is probably the best way to catch people who may be misbehaving.

I'll write up a post on this later so people are aware of the button.

BigMike, spare a few of those PSP posts and bring them over here. Solves 2 problems:


1. One more active member
2. I can try and inch my way towards the post lead.

I know this is done in an attempt to prevent the board from being cluttered, but I think it would be nice to have game threads and NBA talk in the same forum as Bobcats talk. Perhaps that would generate more traffic if they were in one place? I have no real proof this would work, just an idea. As an NBA fan I really enjoy the site!

Agreed. It'd be a mess if they were all together...like RealGM.

RealGM makes my eyes bleed. The one time I visited RealGM, was pure fail and cluttered as crap.

I liked the game threads just in case I missed the game. I'd read through a few pages see what happened during the game. You can't scroll through the chat though. I think I'd vote to bring the thread back.

I think we can have the game thread and the chat. My thought was that people would talk about the game up until tipoff in the thread, jump in the chat during the game, then hop back into the game thread post-game.

but I'm open for suggestions if you guys would like to try it a different way.

Problem is only those who used to post a lot in the game threads (Ohara, Beagle, Zig, etc) ever bother to post anything after the game.

I'm fine with the way it is set...I read the last of the chat (if I missed it) and post in the thread before/after if I have a thought...
