LOL, with all the Jack hate over the beginning of the season, I figured it was time for some love for him. After how he was treated in the Indy game which we would've won if the refs were worth a shit, and now tonight, probably the greatest shot in Bobcats history to win the game against the Hawks...
Thanks Jack.

The only way that would have been better is if he would have just went ahead and got on the scorer's table. I mean, Eddie did, so why not the guy with the game-winner, you know?

yeah that was a Great shot and his response afterwords was great! Why did they need to review it tonight but yet in the pacers game at the end there was no foul?
nba.com already has it posted...looks better with each view...LOL

they reviewed to see if he got it off in time. and also to see if they could keep the league mandated conspiracy to keep the cats from winning in effect without it being too obvious.
They have to review last shots (league mandated I think) to make sure they were off by the buzzer...where as fouls are judgment calls that don't have to be reviewed...

nah yall been hating on him all season, he's been bringing it ever since Silas jumped on board. DJ is slowly showing the reason he will never be a starting pg in this league and yall are always on his dick. Jack is continuously showing why he is the best player in bobcats history.

Why u hating? every starting player has had their time to slump, DJ is just in a little slump right now, I'm sure he'll break out of it when we play chicago cuz he always goes hard against rose. DJ is our MVP, even if Jax is the best player we have.
This team has no MVP. Because no one deserves the title.
However, if we're talking one game, I'll take Jack 100 times out of 100.

DJ @ his best is better then every other player on this team IMO, "great" DJ will put up a stat line like, 22 pts 12 ast 4 rebounds >2 turnovers

I agree, not to take away anything from Jax, cuz I think Jax is one of the better SG's in the game, I was only defending DJ cuz dude was trying to shit on him for some reason
I like DJ. I want him to succeed. But I don't want a guy who passes up open jumpers if he's not a great defender and a great passer. DJ is becoming a good passer, and has imrpoved from terrible to slightly below average on D. But he passes up wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many good looks, and that's not a quality that an "MVP" or a "team's best player" has. Talent wise, he's probably better than Jack. But if talent equals the MVP, then Boris would win it for this team. However, talent doesn't score buckets, effort and desire do. I don't sense enough of that in DJ, and according to what Silas is saying, he agrees. To the point of DJ going back to the bench in the near future if he isn't shooting. No way an "MVP" gets benched for not shooting. Sorry.

I'm not sure how this thread turned into DJ vs. Jack. No need to put one guy down in order to praise another. DJ is struggling but has played very well most of the season, especially under Silas. He'll be fine. But it's about time Jack gets some love on here. So I guess this means we shouldn't trade him for Randy Brewer? Jack is a winner. Plain and simple. He's got a big-game mentality and you can't teach that. He's got his faults, but the guy could play for me any day of the week.
In terms of who's our MVP, I've never really liked the "MVP" concept because value is determined by circumstances rather than who is actually the most effective/best player. But whatever superlative you want to use, be it MVP, best player, go-to-guy, #1 option, team leader, whatever it is, that person is Jack, hands down.

Lonny Baxter begs to differ.

Thanks Jack. Good thread, proud! Hyperbole of the thread title aside, it was insane to see Jack hit that shot. Did he make the shot harder than it had to be by waiting for the double team? Probably. Was there luck involved? I think so. But he nailed it and after the initial shock of the Cats actually hitting a buzzer beater wore off, I was hooting and hollering like we just won the champsionship.
Also, a great game against LAL last night as well. It was no surprise to see that he doesn't have to forced shots and get points each game to be effective. Defense and ball movement work wonders.
Thank you, Jack, and may your good run continue post-All Star!

Jack is an up and down player, we all know it.... We all sometimes hate it.... but at the end of the day this guy gets us wins.
Yes he can be frustrating with techs etc, and it's annoying when he goes 2 - 13 through 3 quarters, but how many times do we then see him come out and go 7-8 in the 4th to win us the game?
Plus the one point I love more than anything, he seems to like it here as the star in Charlotte with Crash.
Watching Jack throughout his career he has been a cancer, always complaining etc. He still complains at the refs but who wouldn't wanna yell at those power trip whistle blowers??? He likes it here, I support any player who wants to be here and wants to win.

Might be making Wallace look even more expendable...
Henderson makin him look pretty expendable right now
right now i think the worst thing we could do is bump hendo up to starter. he is just starting to feel and look comfortable on the floor and is in his ideal role at this point in his career. coming off the bench but playing big minutes is perfect for him. i think if we traded either jax or crash and started hendo and he didn't do well immediately, his confidence would plummet.
if we were to move either jax or crash and start hendo at sg, i think it would have to be crash. if we moved jax a lineup of dj, hendo, crash, diaw, center like kaman from the trade would have an awfully tough time scoring.

I don't think starting would affect him much. considering he plays half his minutes in the 4th quarter now and makes clutch play after clutch play

The Charlotte Bobcats Would Be Better Off Without Stephen Jackson (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/615942-the-charlotte-bobcats-would-be-better-off-without-stephen-jackson)
For the season, Jackson is using up 26.9 percent of the Bobcats' plays while he is on the floor, which is the highest usage percentage on the team. At the same time, Jackson is only producing 100 points per 100 possessions, giving him the 10th worst offensive rating on the Bobcats. For the record, 15 players have played for the Bobcats this season.
The fact that Jackson takes so many shots as if he were a good offensive player (3.9 more field goal attempts per game than the next closest player) while shooting the ball so poorly from the field, means that he is a dangerous presence on the Bobcats offense in it that he is making the entire unit more inefficient. An inefficient offense, like the one the Bobcats currently possess with an offensive rating of 103.4 points per 100 possessions (which ranks 25th in the NBA), is the calling card of a mediocre team.
When the team's offensive rating is higher than a player's, that player is a detriment to the team.
Overall, Jackson has only contributed 0.059 win shares per 48 minutes for the season. Again, that ranks him 10th out of 15 players who have played for the Bobcats.

The Charlotte Bobcats Would Be Better Off Without Stephen Jackson (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/615942-the-charlotte-bobcats-would-be-better-off-without-stephen-jackson) Nice to see stats backing up what I and others have been seeing and saying all year. However, the last 5 or so games, he seems to be not pushing the issue as much. His best back to back games have been his Pressure Loving game in ATL and the LAL game, in which he only scored 8 points I believe, but defended and moved the ball instead of holding it interminably.
As a human being, I like the guy; but if a good deal saunters our way, I won't be sad (Re: Raja) if he's traded.

Rick is right; Jack's game has changed for the better. But I don't know how many more ORL games, where it's him and him alone producing, he can take before it turns ugly. Still, his play and attitude have been admirable through two games. Gotta give the love when it's deserved (especially when I liberally dole out the hate!). Thanks, Jack!

hopefully he beasts for the rest of the season and we can move him for some more picks.
the biggest thing i am wondering now, given the direction jordan wanted to take. what if we were able to move crash a week earlier (not sure if the package we got with multiple firsts was available then) and dallas got a chance to see jax alone as the sf. i bet we would have gotten butler, jones and pick from them.
