I made another post of how we can use some depth at the 4 and 5. I was looking at free agents and D league players and can across an article about most deserving d league players who need to be called up and Sean Williams was #1 on the list. The guys is still young (24 I believe) and is listed as 6'10 235. Said he is a very athletic shot blocker with tons of energy. (Tyrus Thomas?) Anyone Know anything about this guys. All I could find was that he was drafted out of Boston College by the nets and is now in the D league. How can I write to the Bobcats and tell them to sign him lol.

From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_Williams_(basketball,_born_1986)):

On March 16, 2009, Williams was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after an altercation with the clerk at a cell phone store at Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree, CO that ended with Williams smashing the store's computer monitor.[9] He did not accompany his team on their flight back to New Jersey[10] and was later suspended by the team for two games.[11]

From what I remember reading in the past, he is somewhat of a headcase (not to be confused with Shawne Williams of the Knicks, who is also a headcase lol). While I certainly believe that everybody deserves a second chance, most of these types of NBA players become repeat offenders in some way or other (Ron Artest and Demarcus Cousins come to mind).

I WANT NOW! lol

If we could make a "2 for 1" or "3 for 2" deal or etc etc....we should sign him. He brings a little extra athleticism which could help out big time.

Weren't we offered Sean Williams for Sean May back in the 06 draft?

Based on what our coaching staff has done with our big men the guy is worth a look. What he did was nothing major and happened almost 2 years ago. He has not had anything bad happen since. I also agree that just about everyone deserves a second chance. He is averaging 15 and 10 in the D league. I am sure he wants another shot and would not want a lot of money.

I read that earlier as well after I posted. Once again happened over a year ago. I would trust the front office if they were to evaluate a player and offer him a contract, to have something in the contract saying something like If you screw up again your gone. There are not many options out there that do not involve a trade.

I was wondering the same thing Fred. Someone made a post talking about team chemistry which I agree is a big thing but you don't now how someone will get along until you put them together. I asked if you would think something like a 10 day contract or something would be worth it to see how everyone gels since as of now we have no Tyrus so it would be nice to have someone similar to him. Then I made a mighty ducks reference and said for all we know Tyrus ans Sean could get along great and be The Bash Brothers of the NBA and just block everything people put up.

Sean in the All Star game led the west in points and rebounds. 21point 8boards 2ast 3stl 2blocks.

Courtney Sims of the east is a Center (6'11 245) is averaging 17 points 10 boards 1 ast 1block
Lead the east with 25 points and 5 boards.

Marcus Cousin (6'11 255) Also had a nice game.

We need to take a look at these guys IMO.

I think Zig messing with the board caused all posts in a certain time frame to "vanish." This has happened before, no biggie, just post based on what's here and if it's from something that was deleted, try to recall as much as you can for backround.

So if it went back to the beginning of the season, I'd stil the first prediction from Beagle's beard....

Hmm..I think we are going to fire Larry, MJ will luck out when Gana has a season-ending injury (who knew he'd see the floor), Hendo will prosper when Paul Silas is our new coach, and two things that won't surprise anyone...Jack will lead the league in Techs and the Bobcats will Own the Lakers.

That was my fault. I did a server move yesterday and there was probably an hour or two overlap between the backup on the old server and the reload on the shiny new box.

If the FO thinks Williams is too crazy I mentioned two others that would be worth looking at. Courtney Sims and Marcus Cousin are both 6'11 and doing very well for there teams. What other options are out there that don't require a trade and do not make 6+ million a year.
