Pretty stupid if you ask me. Does the NBA need 3 teams in the LA area? I dont think so!

I would rather see a team in Vegas or Seattle.

Kansas City has an NBA ready arena with no tenant. Just saying...........

I do agree that there shouldn't be 3 teams in the LA area. If Anaheim wants a team they should make an attempt to get the Clippers to move there, after all they played there for a year or two in the late 90's.

Yeah if I were the NBA I'd make sure the new team was in Pittsburgh, Louisville/Cincy, KC, or Seattle. No other options allowed.

Another LA team?? Really?? Like that would help the NBA get to more people.

no way pittsburgh or louis/cincy can carry a basketball team. they can't carry baseball. forget basketball.

Louisville/Cincy is a basketball/football area, and Pittsburgh is similar.

And it's a lot easier to support basketball than baseball. Why do you think the QC doesn't have a baseball team? Or Oklahoma City? Or New Orleans? Or Orlando? Or San Antonio? Or Portland? Or Indianapolis? Or Salt Lake City?

Pittsburgh is not Basketball Town. Louisville is a baseball area

i can speak personally for pittsburgh, they won't support a basketball team. they are a football town first and a hockey town second and they can barely keep the pens going. cincy maybe, but pittsburgh i am pretty sure would not.

Send them to Vegas. Im pretty sure the Maloof bros would prefer Vegas over any other city since they own a casino (maybe two) in the city of sin.

The casinos are the reason there isn't a bball team there, Stern has said the NBA will go the vegas when vegas doesn't allow betting on the games. It's pretty plain and simple. Another location is after the nets leave NJ would have a slot for a team (at The Rock, not at whatever the hell they call continental airlines arena now).

Pittsburgh is a 3 team not a 4 team sports town (one could even argue they only really support the Steelers and Pens). The fan support is one thing, but you also need the corporate support as well.

As far as where the Kings should go, I'd say Seattle or KC... KC being the front runner because they have a state of the art NBA/NHL ready facility with no primary tenant. There's no reason to have a 3rd team in the LA area. Heck, they don't even have one NFL team.

So they just need to outlast Stern. I'm kidding to a degree. Do you know how easy it would be to sell all the tickets to a pro-team in Vegas. Every casino would buy a couple thousand tickets per game to give to their top gamblers, every casino would have at least one-suite for the season, heck, they'd probably have slot machines in the suites, just like they have at the airport and the grocery stores.

i hope there is not any chance of the Charlotte Bobcats being moved. I know it costs more to move than it does to stay in a city in most situations though. There has been talks of bring mlb to charlotte, and charlotte is getting major league lacrosse in 2012

I used to go to KC Kings games when they had Phil Ford and Otis Birdsong. Good team; no fans. Kemper was normally less than half-full. Be pretty funny though to see the Kings go from KC to Sactown then back to KC.

When i was a kid, in the day this team used to be the Cincinnati Royals, starring Mr. Oscar Robertson.

He was a guest speaker at a basketball camp I went to when I was 14. Him being MJ's idol made me watch a lot of old tapes of him and appreciate how damn good he was before the drugs. When he came out to talk to us I was the only one going wild. I got him to autograph two armbands, a t shirt, and my shoes :D
