Yahoo Sports reporting that Charlotte is active in talks to trade Gerald Wallace and/or Stephen Jackson. Hou and Portland are eyeing Wallace.

Woj from Yahoo just tweeted it. I don't want to trade both espescially how we are just a game back of 8th

Article says we might be interested in Przybilla to take the spot of Diop for the year, and then he expires with $7.4 mil coming off the books. Gotta be more involved because the money doesn't work, and Crash if more valuable. Have to think their 1st and another player would be involved also. If Houston involved, it has to be Battier they are talking about the Cats getting.

Portland has a trade exception that they could use, so the salaries would work. Battier's deal is also expiring.

I'd hate to see Wallace go just to dump salary. If that's his value though, maybe we overvalue him as Bobcats fans?

Also, I know we've discussed Terrence Williams on here before. Is there any substance to that or are we just saying his name because he once said something about wondering how things would be if he was drafted by us instead of NJ?

...all reports have indicated (up until now) that the 'Cats are asking for a 1st plus if teams want Crash or Jack...I doubt they've changed their stand...

...and the Portland trade exception is 2.39...so any combo of salary (player leaving Portland) plus the 2.39 would work if they match...Prz 7.4+2.39=9.79...Crash=9.8 would work...but again I'd have to think we'd want one of their 1st...they have a conditional 1st from NO and their own 1st I believe...

i would like to think we would get a first for him. cleveland balked at giving theirs up, but it would have been a top 5 so i understand that, but portlands would be outside the lottery this year and next so i could definitley see us getting their 2011 or 2012.

I came up with these two for Wallace:

We get- Miller, Pryzbilla, Rudy
POR gets- Wallace, Hammer
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4jqlsao

We get- Battier, Budinger, Hill
HOU gets- Wallace
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4e2opyu

I think both trades are realistic and I have heard rumbles that Yao, Jeffries, Battier, Hill and Budinger are the guys HOU is shopping the hardest.

I heard Jeffries, Battier, Hill and TWill but not Budinger...still I'd think we still are demanding a 1st...

not in a million years do we get miller and rudy with pryz for wallace and a bad contract. i think they may give us our choice of rudy or a first but i highly doubt they part with rudy that cheaply.

There is no one I would want from the Blazers, besides Aldridge and Batum. And those two are pretty much untouchable. The Rockets have a plenty of interesting players though. a package around Hill, Budinger, and Battier for Crash and Nazr or Najera would be fine with me.

Crash for Wes Matthews and Pryzbilla. I would be all over that one if I was Charlotte.

this. No way Portland gives us on Wes Matthews though, he's been killing it. I'd love for Matthews to come here though, I think he'd fit in perfectly and he can play D.

Here are the Rockets fans take on the Gerald Wallace rumor (http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=201057&page=1&pp=20). Overall they seem to be in favor of it.

I want Batum if we deal him to portland. When it gets down to it the untouchable talk can be some BS.

Please let it be Jax and not Crash. Please Please Please

If Houston would give Budinger, Hill and expirings, I could go for that. I really like Budinger as a 6th man and Hill can be a very solid bench player as well. Then to have some cap space entering whatever the new CBA brings...I can really like that idea. And in doing this, I don't think it hurts us towards the playoffs this year. The more I talk, the more I like it.

Of course, if we could get Matthews and Pryz from Portland, I'd be hard-pressed to turn that down as well. I like where these ideas are going. I'd hate to see Crash go, but I think deals like these can really help the team now and in the future.

So often we hear of deals where Charlotte is totally getting screwed over. It is kinda nice to at least hear of possible trades where we come out OK or better. Just not so sure that if a deal is done that our expectations will be met. Have to wait and see.

I might be the only one in here who hoping that we won't trade either Jax or Crash. We are just 1 game out of a playoff spot. And Jax for all the technical fouls that has pick this season. He is not got into a fight with anther player or a fan.He has not pointed a gun at anyone. And also Jax he is a major reason why are 1 game out of a playoff spot and not more then that. And far as Crash go.Sure he is a having a down season. But as of late his number have went up.And he is playing better basketball then before. If you do a trade.Don't make a trade that will hurt the team chances of making the playoff this year

any insiders here: what does this rumors thing say about crash. anything earth shattering?

also, how shitty is the melo situation for felton now that denver basically says they are looking to pass him on. i can almost see it now, getting sent to sac-town. he is playing good ball and loves new york and the team. now you see why the prevailing thought amongst players is get what is yours when you can.

Yeah, it's crap. But, he's a big boy getting a big boy checks. I just hope he lands in a place with a good system for him.

Wallace's suitors

1:45PM ET
Gerald Wallace | Bobcats (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=cha)

http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/1026.jpg (http://www.facebook.com/sharer.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Finsider.espn.go.com%2Fnb a%2Ffeatures%2Frumors%2F_%2Fid%2F20782&src=sp) As the trade deadline approaches Thursday, it's been reported Charlotte could look to deal either Stephen Jackson (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/378/stephen-jackson) or Gerald Wallace (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/1026/gerald-wallace).
And as Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports tweeted Monday (http://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/39749297377509376), league execs are saying the team is active in talks to move Wallace and/or Jackson.

"Houston, Portland, others with eye on Wallace," he added.

With center DeSagana Diop (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/992/desagana-diop) out for the season, the Bobcats could look to acquire Joel Przybilla (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/682/joel-przybilla)'s expiring contract from Portland to give them another body at the position.

There was also talk (http://nba.fanhouse.com/2010/12/23/bobcats-michael-jordan-plots-next-move-in-wake-of-coaching-chan/) of Andre Miller (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/557/andre-miller) and Marcus Camby (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/125/marcus-camby) heading to the Bobcats in return for D.J. Augustin (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/3415/dj-augustin) and Wallace earlier this season, so such a framework between the Blazers and Bobcats could be discussed again.

The Rockets have some expiring contracts -- Shane Battier (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/976/shane-battier)'s is among them -- so they could offer some savings in return to Charlotte for Wallace, who has two years left on his deal after this season, the last of which is a player option of $11.4 million in 2012-13.

Denver's possible play with Felton

12:58PM ET
Raymond Felton | Knicks (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/clubhouse?team=nyk)

http://a.espncdn.com/i/headshots/nba/players/65/2753.jpg (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?playerId=2753) If the Nuggets indeed trade Carmelo Anthony (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/1975/carmelo-anthony) to the Knicks, it's been widely reported Knicks point guard Raymond Felton (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2753/raymond-felton) would come to Denver in return.

And if a Melo trade to the Nets happens, PG Devin Harris (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2382/devin-harris) would likely be traded to Denver in such a deal.
But it doesn't sound like either is going to be Denver's PG of the future.

"If Nuggets do deal with Knicks, all indications say they want Felton only to trade him on," tweeted ESPN's Marc Stein on Monday (http://twitter.com/STEIN_LINE_HQ/statuses/39731477889417216). "Just as Denver would do if it got Harris from New Jersey."

The Hawks are said to be looking for a point guard, so it's possible they could get in the mix for either of these two.
And as ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard tweeted Monday (http://twitter.com/Chris_Broussard/statuses/39746929780989952), Felton could be in the mix for the Nets if Melo gets traded to New York.

Additionally, if Harris and Felton aren't in Denver's plans and Chauncey Billups (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/63/chauncey-billups) -- who is rumored to be in the proposed New York-Denver deal -- gets traded, it could hand the keys over to Ty Lawson (http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/4000/ty-lawson) at point guard for the Nuggets.

Would not think the FO would discuss trades with other players on the team. But I bet teammates find out before the press does. I wonder if Ballwhore would hear anything from DJ about a Jax, Crash or Diaw trade before the press? Come on Ballwhore. Give us some info.

unless it concerns dj he wouldn't hear that much sooner than the press. maybe an hour or so. although i am now trying to recall the timeline of the big phoenix deal he was all over.

In a reply that does nothing to speculate anything other than set the table for potential suitors for Wallace/Jax/Diaw. Here is our schedule for the next few nights as well as the 3 teams that we are "supposedly" chatting with. Not a huge factor, but something to think about with acclimating the roster/lineup chemistry in potential playoff teams with 26 games to go 'til the second season. Also something to pay attention to with players being sat or limited burn as not to damage the goods.

BOBCATS: 1 game before day of deadline - Tue 2.22 vs Raptors (Next game after deadline - Fri 2.25 vs Kings)

Portland: 1 game before/day of deadline - Wed 2.23 vs Lakers (Next Game after deadline- Fri 2.25 vs Nuggets)
Houston: 2 games before/day of deadline - Tue 2.22 vs Pistons, Wed 2.23 vs Cavs (Next game after deadline- Sat 2.26 vs Nets)
LA Clips: 2 games before/day of deadline - Tue 2.22 vs Thunder, Wed 2.23 vs Hornets (Next game after deadline- Fri 2.25 vs Lakers)

Just a thought because I have not heard anything on this. But I am thinking that if Melo goes to the Knicks, the Nets have a lot of 1st round picks and a couple players they have dangled. Would not shock me to see us try something with the Nets.

If Denver redirects Felton to NJ, maybe we could trade Wallace for Harris and then see in NJ what could have happened if we would have picked Lopez!

Just playing.

How does Felton feel now? Didn't take our offer to go to NY, now he's being moved again...... only to be moved AGAIN?!
