So we know MJ has been trade happy, it seems as though we will be sitting this deadline out.

"Paul Silas again says there's "nothing happening" on trade front. Says no attractive options."

Are we happy about this or frustrated?

Paul said they aren't attrected by any offers.....but all sources say we are very active in trade talks. When someone decides to make an offer that fits our needs/wants we will make a deal. We never hear about trades before they happen so I still think we make a deal.

I'm happy that we haven't been willing to accept any one-sided low ball offers. I won't be disappointed if we hold what we've got and make a playoff push with the squad we have. I'll be frustrated if we make a move just to clear space and give up on the season.

...not to start anything...but why'd we start a separate trade board to talk (or not talk) about trades if we're going to keep it going in the main Bobcats talk thread?

In all honesty, I think the only reason we've been such a trade happy team because of Larry Brown.

Yeah, I don't understand. Why not a one stop board?

I agree 100%.

Boomer...we basically had a "one stop" and a bunch of folks wanted trades split off to a different board...we have that (here) now...since we have it we need to use it...LOL

It does make it easier for folks who are just "dropping" in to check and see if anything has happened on the trade front...

^^^^ BRNC is on the money

Now that we have the trade board, there is no need for one jumbo 80 page trade thread. Different trade ideas and rumors are free to be split up into their own threads.

We never hear about trades before they happen so I still think we make a deal. The only way MJ makes a trade imo is if he is willing to truly break this team down and start the process of a rebuild. It is obvious teams do not want to work with the great MJ in regards to giving his team a fair trade. It appears our inconsistent team will under perform it's way into the 7th or 8th seed and get quickly swept in the playoffs. If nothing drastic changes or if we don't address some weaknesses with solid players next season will be the same as this. What this all boils down to is what teams are willing to give us that would be fair. It seems other organizations do not want to deal fairly with us.

MJ was known to be a total asshole in his playing days and now that he truly can not affect the outcome of things as a player other teams relish seeing if they can screw him as an owner.

disagree. i think it is more of a case of his FO history with washington and charlotte being fairly or unfairly perceived as not very smart trade or draft wise. you don't want to be the first gm who didn't get an advantageous trade with MJ, so everyone low balls the deals. hey, at least he seems to be learning the ropes.

MJ was the greatest besketball player of all time. He was seen as a cocky self absorbed jerk by many and he had a lot of success both personally and in context of his teams. I don't think anybody wants MJ to forge a Dynasty. MJ also has a poor FO history which adds to teams willingness to see if they can screw him over. I am proud of him this season for holding his ground and not getting hoodwinked into a dumb deal.
