View Full Version : Time to Sit Diaw

He is awful, just AWFUL. Start D.J. White, bring Cunningham off the bench. See if either of them are worth bringing back next year, and I really like what I am seeing from White so far. He sure as hell plays harder than Diaw, and I'm not about to throw anything through the wall or hurling obscenities at the screen when he's out there. No matter how White and Cunningham play splitting time at PF until T2 gets back, there is no way they will be worse, or more frustrating than seeing Diaw's fat ass out there loafing up and down the court.
I don't know what it is, but it seems like Silas' magic is working against him with Diaw.
Once Tyrus comes back, Boris doesn't need to be anything more than a backup 3. Because Dom is the only guy playing worse right now.

I'd be fine starting DJ White once or twice, maybe Monday, see if he can do anything with blake, if he can then I'd say he is definitely worth a longer look. If he can't handle it, pull him and figure out who to put in.

Dam, I was thinking the same thing the whole game. I don't know what his problem is lately. Too much coffee maybe.

didn't you guys see the story about jackson having to sit while his hamstring gets better
translation = we are tanking

Jack was legitimately hurting. He would let us know via his agent the moment there's a "tank" message.

totally agreed, give DJ and Dante a few starts apiece until TT gets back and then start TT. Use Diaw as a backup 3 and trade him in the off-season. I think DJ,Dante, and Eduardo are adequate backups for TT. If we can ship Diaw,Diop and maybe Jackson and bring in a Center, I'll be happy.

I have been a big supporter of Diaw, but at the end of every game i look back and Diaw never stands out. And he is on 9 mil a year!!!

Cranston tweeted about this, not saying with inside knowledge, but just his thought that once Tyrus comes back it's time for Diaw to fade away. It's pretty clear he doesn't fit what Silas wants and though I know Diaw is capable of doing a lot of things, he's just not getting anything done. I have little doubt he'll be moved this off-season especially since he'll be an expiring.

God yeah please bench him. He is so bad right now it's really not even funny.

Agreed. Diaw is proving to be even more pathetic and futile than I thought, which is pretty sad.
On a side note, here is an excerpt from Rotoworld:
With Stephen Jackson dealing with his hamstring injury, and Boris Diaw a shell of his already mediocre self, the Bobcats may have the worst offensive lineup in the history of NBA basketball for a bit. That leaves Augustin, who should be relied upon heavily over the next week.

Like I've been saying for the past couple of years, dude is like an unstable stock.... to up and down for my liking. We needed to sell high on him while he was on his hot streak leading up to the deadline. Now, he's back to the soft, passive, brick-laying player that he has been all too much. 6th man bench guy that should not be one of our "go-to" dependable scorers like he is counted on to be here. All we can do is ride this annoying French roller coaster until he peaks again (hopefully) and trade his ass at the first good offer we get. Even as an expiring, I question how much return we can get on him.

How has Charles Oakley not choked out Boris yet. I thought that would take place within the first 2 practices.
That would be like hitting a girl n we all know thats not acceptable.

That's scary as hell. I am not sure if I want to watch right now. Poor D.J., he is not equipped to carry a team. It's a sad that trading GW has created such a drop in productivity. He's a solid offensive player, but nothing spectacular. (His PER of 15 is considered average)
