He is playing well and putting up some impressive stats but he isn't and never will be a superstar you can build a team around. To be a superstar as a big in the NBA you need to do three things: score, rebound and protect the rim. Lots of guys do one of those things well. A handful do two of them well but very few do all three.
Players like Love and Carlos Boozer score and rebound but don't protect the rim at all. For all Loves stats his team only has 16 wins while the Bobcats have 26 wins. Boozer is a good regular season player but has been consistently dominated by taller bigs come playoff time. I would much much much rather try and build around a guy like LaMarcus Aldridge that can score rebound and protect the basket.

He is playing well and putting up some impressive stats but he isn't and never will be a good cook. To be a good cook in the NBA you need to do three things: seasoning, timing, and you've gotta know the right amount of heat to use on a given dish. Lots of guys do one of those things well. A handful do two of them well but very few do all three.

I get what you're saying, but I think if you get a real defensive minded center to pair with him, you'd be in great shape. He's just a vacuum for the ball.
The number of losses don't mean much to me, as the TWolves are playing pretty terrible, uninspired ball.
