Our "friends" at Hoopsworld keep churning stories about our team...I'm not sure why but I think it's great...here's the "intro" latest by Derek Page...too long to post the entire story...

"Buried deep in the pit of a seemingly never-ending losing streak, the Charlotte Bobcats are resting their playoff hopes on some newly acquired players, along with the recovery of defensive ace Tyrus Thomas.

For nearly two months now, the Bobcats have been eagerly anticipating the return of Thomas from a tear of the lateral meniscus in his left knee. The wait could come to an end as early as this Friday and, if Stephen Jackson returns from a minor hamstring injury on Friday as well, head coach Paul Silas will have a full deck at his disposal to deploy over the final 18 games of the season.

Let's take a look at some of the key newcomers -- both acquired before the trade deadline and coming off of serious injury -- that the Bobcats hope to utilize down the stretch to try and sneak their way into the playoffs.

(In order from the least expected impact to greatest.)"

DJ White has been a great addition. Didn't think much of him coming in (okay honestly I didn't know he existed ) but he's shown some great stuff.

Interested in how Silas is challenging Diaw, with fear of losing his starting spot.

Other thing is I'm happy to see that my man TTime has been working hard during rehab to polish his jumper (which was pretty decent already). Look forward to seeing him back on the court.

Acquired in the theft trade of Gerald Wallace from the Bobcats to the Portland Trail Blazers, center Joel Przybilla was expected to bring some added girth in place of the recently departed Nazr Mohammed. Unfortunately for Charlotte, Przybilla's right knee -- gruesomely injured during a Dec. 22, 2009 meeting with the Dallas Mavericks, then re-injured less than three months later in a freak shower accident -- isn't sticking to the script.

:yeahthat:

good article.. hopefully Cunningham gets more PT over McGuire because he is just a better player. I like McGuire for a 3-5 minutes a game just like Najera, but Cunningham is a skilled hustle player.

We have a real good chance to fall to the 6-8th pick in the draft, I honestly wouldn't be mad if we made the playoffs, but I don't want us to win games and not make it though if it that makes sense - if we make the playoffs make sure we do. but don't try & fail and fuck up our pick position.

Horrible article. Hoopsworld is falling further and further down my list. Dude can't even type a quote correctly, call me a grammar/spelling nazi but "they're/their" is one of those you get right in 8th grade. Calling the Gerald Wallace trade a theft is a joke as well. This kid, much like Kennedy bringing up the Wallace feeling jilted, is garbage. I hate to say it because I think they're (see how it's used) under the same massive umbrella as Fansided and thus my site....

I'm not saying it's untrue, it's just haggard and weak material, poorly written.
