agreed. solid role player off the bench. Can play backup 4 for a playoff team. Always hustles and can hit mid range J. Has high motor and work ethic. He should be kept as our backup 4 whenever Tyrus Thomas becomes starter.
I agree with everyone here so far. He seems like a solid role player who would be great for us to have as a 7th-8th man long term.
I know lots of folks want stars, and we do need them, but you need good role players as well. Overall, you need a solid 8-9 man rotation and I think DJ White is absolutely good enough to be one of those guys in our rotation for years to come. I hope he sticks around.
Agreed with everyone. He's somebody you want coming off your bench.

worst part is this also applies to tyrus thomas who we decided to pay 8 to 9 mil per year for the next 4 years. great decision FO.

He had a solid performance tonight though, 4 fouls in 12minutes. Not the usual 5 fouls under 10minutes.

Come on Chef give TT a break! Hes just come back from knee surgery, he is going to be absolutley blowing out there. We cant just throw him in to start after 6 weeks out, get real. Also its 6.5 million a year, not 8 or 9

i have been saying this when he was healthy. he is not a starter on a good team, he is an energy guy good for about 20-28 minutes per game. he is too dumb basketball iq-wise to ever be a consistently good starter. and his contract is absolutely ridiculous:
2010: 6.6
2011: 7.3
2012: 8
2013: 8.7
2014: 9.4
we made him our starter for the next 4 years despite 100% of the evidence saying he is all talent and all headcase and won't ever really get it. i am alright taking risks on players that have the talent but can't put it together while young, but you don't pay them like they have already put it together.

he's been one ofour best players since he traded, averaging over 9 points a game and more than 5 boards a game.

He has one more year on his rookie scale contract, then he'll become a restricted free agent.
