I didn't come here to rub it in your fan bases face about the trade that netted the Blazers G.W. as they like to call him in these parts. It has taken a couple of weeks here but he's become an absolute fan favorite around these parts and I hope he's found a temporary home here (I'm thinking he's on a temporary lease and will be headed back "home" come retirement age). Anyways, I hope that the Blazers (should they be in the Bobcats position in the future) will repay what your fanbase has given up and trade our franchise player away for peanuts so that your fanbase can reap the benefits of what we are currently seeing.
*** I never really got to see what Crash brought on any given night because I live on the West Coast watching the Western Division teams primarily, but let your fanbase know he has become extremely appreciated more than any current Blazer for his hustle and tenacity! The Portland Fanbase has come to know Gerald Wallace, and I am hopeful that he can do great things for my favorite team.
I wish nothing but the best for your fanbase, knowing how hard it is to trade a conerstone (i.e. Clyde Drexler, and Rasheed Wallace) but continue the good fight and continue rooting for the future.

Thanks gnollkamp....I've gone on blazers chat for a couple of the games (usually until halftime) and it's great to see him doing well. It was kinda funny at the start, when GW wasn't starting, I would say, well, he will be if he stays healthy. He's playing like he was last year in his all-star season. Best of luck in the playoffs. If you wouldn't mind, take out another of the NOH starter's so our draft position improves some more too.

Gerald such an easy guy to be a fan of. He works hard, and doesnt gripe about it. As Cats fans we knew what kind of player we were giving up when the trade went down. Kudos to your front office for putting together such a talented roster. Hopefully Oden will someday get back and be productive for you, and Brandon Roy's knee's arent quite as bad as everyone says they are. He has potential to be a GREAT player, and you can thank the Charlotte Bobcats for being one of the teams that passed on him so that you guys could get him haha!
I hope your front office (And Dallas as well) sends the Charlotte Bobcats fromt office a nice Christmas card every year thanking them for some of the things we have done for you all.

Gerald is a class act. My biggest regret is the way we let him go. He deserved a better supporting cast then our front office assembled, but he never complained when we let Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton go for less then nothing in the off season. I could see him coming back here one day even though he is upset with the front office because Gerald is all about the fans.
I wish you guys the best and have a feeling this is your year to win it all. I know a lot of Blazer fans think the Lakers will still be the better team, but check our record vs the Lakers the last couple of years. Gerald Wallace owns the Lakers.

I appreciate bro, hope he works for you guys.
knowing how hard it is to trade a conerstone (i.e. Clyde Drexler, and Rasheed Wallace)
Gerald is in no way a cornerstone. Ever. Never has been, never will be. It's the sad state of this team that he was "that guy" for us.
He'll continue to thrive for you in that third/fourth option role until his body gives out, which luckily for you won't be that bad compared to Roy.

Wallace is having a career night scoring wise against OKC right now. It still looks like Portland is a couple of big bodies away from serious title contention in the West. I just hope this deal balances out a little more like the Pau to LA deal did.

But I am happy that Crash can spend the twilight of his prime in playoff contention. Who knows, maybe Crash was the reason we had the Lakers number and the Blazers will find a way out of the first round.
