TT so far hasn't showed nothing to earn that fat contract. DJ Whiite is playing more like a seasoned vet than TT. Forget the draft pick in addition to the fat contract. Any one think he could net us a hamburger and fries.
THOUGHTS on TT as a Bobcat long term.

He needs to get healthy before we can really say. He's had some nice games. He's had a lot more DNPs.

I agree...his injury situation makes it difficult to judge...since I did not like the trade I'm biased...but I do think in the long run it's wasted money and a wasted pick...

To me the pick has more value than TT does right now.

TT had a per of 20 before he got injured, he needs to shut it down for the rest of the season, or until the playoffs, and get healthy during the off-season, I most def don't think hes a bust.

You can't deny his numbers and efficiency off the bench. He was tops on the Bobcats by a lot before the injuries on Hollinger's list. Winshares per 48, he's third behind DJ White and DJ Augustin. With White, Diaw, Tyrus, has our PF position become overcrowded?

He was playing some really good ball before the injury. Best player on the team good. Wait until he gets back healthy before we start harping on him.

No, he's not. Health is the issue the past few months, not his overall game.

He's not healthy.....dont call anyone a bust because they aren't healthy.

We do have a logjam at the Power Forward position, but TT is one player I'd keep.

I'm not saying he's a bust. Last year he was great, this year before the injury he was great. He has all the potential in the world, if he doesn't work out 2-3 years down the road trade him to a contender who's willing to take on the contract for another big body.

I wouldn't call him a "bust", but I think he has issues that can keep him from being a consistently productive player...which could make him not worth what we owe him.
I defintely wouldn't call him a bust.
He hasn't even had an opportunity to be a consistent starter so it is way to early. I have really liked what I have seen from him when he has been on the court. I am 100% for continuing to let him develop and see where he is in a year or so from now.

The best way to describe the situation.
too para-quote a modern day socrates "he is what i thought he was". i am so glad we will be playing a solid off the bench front line player 8 to 9 mil per year for the next 4 years. i would trade him at the first offer.

4th pick in the draft, plays in the league for 5years now, still a bench player with non-existent BBall-IQ. Yes, he is a bust. still a productive player off the bench though
but we definitely overpaid him. he isn't worth more than the MLE.

Move Diaw out by draft night, let TT rest after the season, and then re-evaluate both he and DJ. We do need another weapon at the 3 or 5 that can allow Thomas to do his thing, but I'm okay with the gamble we took last year.
