In your opinion, which player has been the Bobcats MVP for this season?

Charles Oakley, for his miracle working with Kwame Brown.
Honorable mention to Micheal Jordan for showing the world this isn't the UNC Alumni club and firing LB.

(Okay I don't mean to put Spatula when im typing his name. MY computer wont let me type K.w.a.m.e for some reason.)

Lmao, that must be Zig's work.

I say Paul Silas/Coaching staff.

Thomas early in the season was really a tremendous asset off the bench - he could be again before the season's done.

Henderson was non-existent before Silas' arrival, he has since been a good contributor, since Wallace's departure, he's been outstanding.

DJ started out (IMO) lights out for Oct. but seemed to go into a funk until Brown's departure, he's since been a great asset when he's been 90+% healthy.

Jax has been a worth his weight for the year, but he's been a detriment at times in a year that techs have taken on so much more potency.

Diaw has shown he can be one of the most slippery-small-big-fast-slow-trickshot-dipsy-doo-wowza guys in the game ... and then he can go back in his shell for half a dozen more games.

I could see one of these guys getting white hot here on out and being a clear MVP of the team - I could also see a scenario where noone can do that based on health and just the nature of an ever-changing cast of players on the court. At this point in the year, if there's an MV[x] to me, it's coach Silas.

I say this however, I do think that Kwame's play allowed the team to trade Nazr, Liv's health and good consistent bench performance has been great and we've gotten valuable contributions from every single player (we could credit a win or save to Eddie, one or two to Dom, etc . . . . - this does seem very much like a team). I am not sure anyone expected the contributions we have gotten from some of these guys.

Hendo: He has come up clutch for us time and time again. Also, if we need to shut down a guy, we just sick him on them.

Jack is is second because he has had some fantastic games including a few game winner/game tiers. But he has missed alot of time and I can't really pick him over Hendo at this point.

EDIT: I did have Gerald Henderson where I put "hendo" but when I posted it, it switched to Gerald Hansbrough. Then I tried to edit it to Henderson and it switched back to Hansbrough even after I saved it.....WTFFFFFF?????

Tough call..... either Jack or Hendo. I lean more towards Jack because of his veteran swagger, but Henderson is too young to have that, so can't really fault him. I'll go Jackson by the slimmest of votes.

we have played like poop all season long and may backdoor ourselves into the playoffs as the worst team to ever make the playoffs. we have no mvp, because as has been shown all year long we don't have a player that is critical to our successes or failures.

with that said i hope we make the playoffs and take 1 game from chicago.

Boris Diaw... He was the only player consistant at something this year.

That would be the LVP...

If you're going to award one, it has to be either DJ or Boris. The two of them played in the majority of our games. You could actually make an argument that Boris had the best stats, despite only shooting 68% from ft and averaging 11.1 ppg. DJ averaged three more points, but shot 8% worse fg.

I'll actually give it to Boris, as I think he actually contributes more than people think.

Your argument for Boris has merit, but I just can't bring myself to give it to him. I'll give it to Jax, even with the techs, injuries, and the swagga-threes that clank off of the front of the rim.

That's more than fair. I think I'm pretty down on the whole team this year and just feel like Diaw has quietly contributed quite a bit.

How about this: if we trade Diaw for a quality piece or to rid bad contracts, will you give Diaw the nod in July?

If we can trade him away for something of value then it would be a lot easier for me to give him the MVP since he would be miles and miles away from Charlotte.

HAHAHA I laughed so hard when I read this. I know exactly what you mean by the swagga threes. You always know they are coming when Jack brings the ball up the floor. It is sad too because his shot percentage for swagga threes is about 10%.

Jack is the MVP for sure. Dj, Hendo, and Kwame are all runner ups in my book.

MVP is most valuable. How you define most valuable is up to you, but generally it's who means the most for their team. And no one in the 'Cats starting 5 has sat as many crucial minutes as Boris this year. Maybe Kwame, but I doubt it.

Jack is the only one who's noticeable out of the game. But this team is so bad either way I couldn't give it to him. And extrapolating records, this team would be in the playoffs if Silas had coached the whole year.

My vote goes to Gerald Wallace. His presence has definitely been missed.

But if we're talking about players still with the team... well... Stack Jack would be my pick. He is our only consistent scoring threat, and is the only "name" player we have on our team. He just has to stay healthy!

On NBA TV against the Cavs we were introduced by one of the announcers as , "Kwame Brown AND The Charlotte Bobcats".

I would consider Boris to be our MVP this year (Which is saying something about our season), but I had a quick laugh when it almost seemed like NBA TV was trying to make it seem like Kwame is our signature player.

I think I need to hold someone close and have a dinner of vegetable soup and grilled cheese.

While I'm not a Kwame hater by any means, thinking about him as our signature player takes me to a dark place where there is no singing or ice cream.

My vote is for the ticket taker at the $5 lot on Brevard and 4th street. He is there in the hail, snow, sleet and rain, putting in maximum effort every night.

i really think SJackson is the MVP. When he was playing, the Bobcats had a chance to win every game. They were MUCH MUCH better when he was healthy and playing.
