I'd rather miss the strippers and have the 10th pick than make the strippers with a thin, injured line-up, likely get swept, and have the 15th pick. It looks like we can get a reasonably talented player at 10. About 12 it drops off.

I know, I know. I'm a terrible fan, person, mammal, creature, etc. I'm just much more excited about a higher pick than I am a stripper series.

(I see what you did there, Ziggy. I know you'll fix this once you are finished with the playoffs.)

What’s that? Ah — Playoffs? Don’t talk about — Playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs? I just hope we can win a game! Another game.

as a long term strategy go for the higher pick. but, the organization owes it to all paying fans to put the best product on the floor every night. it is a tough decision. best case scenario for you would be we go 7-2 but the pacers win out.

That's fine. I think we're secured in the 10-11 spot as long as we don't make the playoffs and other teams perform about as they have.

EDIT: We're getting closer to the west teams than I thought. I dunno man. Indiana's up by 2 now, though.

keep keeping an eye on NO, i have been watching them. it seems cp3 is not going to be able to carry this team completely by himself because of the knee injury. there is an outside shot that houston slides in and NO falls out of the playoffs.

I'm with you dnbman. I would never hope they lose games, but I'm not mad when they do. If we do miss the playoffs, them maybe, just maybe we finally get lucky with the ping pong balls. We are due!

no way. It's not like CP3 has to carry the team on his own. Landry can drop 20ppg per night and I think people really underrate him. He could easily replace David West.

NO will make the playoffs, guaranteed.

as for us, I also hope that we will miss the playoffs. This roster is a joke and will get blown out each game and swept in a series. not that much entertainment IMO.

hou has to make up 3 games and they play NO once. NO has very loseable games against the grizz, rockets and mavs while hou's biggest test aside from NO is dallas. it is unlikely but possible. NO's next game is against the pacers, if they lose that game they are in a much tighter race. however, if the pacers win we are just about done. catch 22.

I agree it is very likely that NO makes the playoffs but it is far from a guarantee. Maybe you can say that after the next 3-4 games but not yet...

I think we are pretty certain for #10, unless the GSW collapse and we fall into #11. The real question is the NO pick. Memphis has passed them and will hold #7. NO is in 8th and has a 3 game lead on Houston. 6 games to go. The real hope is for NO to go 2-4 and Houston to go 6-0. If you look at the schedules, Houston's does lend itself to finishing off 6-0 or 5-1. The real question is what will NO do? It is likely they hold on to 8th, and we end up with the #18 pick. Not horrible at all, but I would dearly love for a collapse that gives us #14. Just gotta watch the scoreboards.
