So, I've never really said anything because it just would sound like bs but, my best friend played at Oak Hill with Steve (as we called him back then). Being closer to Mouth of Wilson, then anybody else on the teams friends- I would go and pick them up and we would come to Gastonia on the weekends and play ball, chase girls, and do everything else that high school kids do. Steve was the coolest, most down to earth guy you could imagine. We had a great time that entire year.
Steve played in the McDonalds game back then and he scored the most points of anyone ever (at the time) to not win MVP. he originally committed to Arizona but, it didn't work out so he took the long route to the league.
Stephen catches a lot of shit for his attitude on the court but, I can tell you first hand that off the court he is just a really great dude!
