Just for the sake of discussion how many of you would take these guys, taking into account their age and contract situations over our current roster? Just curious, what would the cap situation look like with a roster like this?

Tyson Chandler
Emeka Okafor
Gerald Wallace
Raja Bell
Jason Richardson
Raymond Felton
Shannon Brown
Nazr Mohammed
Alexis Ajinca
Keith Bogans
Juwan Howard
and a few minimum guys to fill out the roster

I have a standing "welcome back" policy for Emeka Okafor and Raymond Felton. Those two guys can play on my team any day.

It sucks finally finding out what it is like to have no production from the 5.

That roster looks a lot better than our current roster.

4 yes
2 Maybe
5 No

Tyson Chandler-No..Way Way Way overpaid for any non-contract year from a slack player
Emeka Okafor-No...still waiting for him to progress over his year 2 performance (he was a bargain then)
Gerald Wallace-Yes...injury is the only risk with GW, I'd take him back at his rate, hopefully we fully utilize the draft picks
Raja Bell-No...has he done anything since the 2008-09 season?
Jason Richardson-Yes..With the exception of his bone head DUI JRich has remained exactly what we thought he was-A scorer
Raymond Felton-Maybe...He's overpaid, but would love to have him with Silas as his coach
Shannon Brown-Maybe...We'd be on sportscenter more often
Nazr Mohammed-Yes...His contribution as a veteran is overlooked
Alexis Ajinca-No..I'd rather have Alan Anderson back (remember him? Shannon Brown light)
Keith Bogans-No..I'm happy with Hendo, lot more upside
Juwan Howard-Yes..for same reasons as Nazr
and a few minimum guys to fill out the roster

You know, I think I'd have to disagree. Look at it as a depth chart

Felton/S. Brown/Boykins
Richardson/Bogans/Bell
Wallace/Dudley/D. Brown
Okafor/Howard/Ajinca
Chandler/Nazr/Hollins

That's probably the best 15 man "used-to-be-Bobcat" roster. While top to bottom that team is slightly better than ours, I don't think it's enough of a difference to complain. Also, I'm not worried about any of those starters as matchup problems and their best bench player (Shannon? Dudley?) doesn't impress me. Then you take into account that starting group was due $56.05mil (compared to $23.32 for ours) this year and the entire roster a combined $78.67mil--which is good enough for 5th highest in the league.

That lineup is very close to what Sam had. And even if we had had a decent coach, that wasn't a playoff team.

If it's the upcoming season where TC isn't an expiring then the only ones would be Crash & Felton if their contract situation has to be taken into account.

Felton on an expiring 7 million isn't overpaid.

Felton/DJ
J-Rich/Hendo
Crash/Cunningham
Diaw/Tyrus
Chandler/Kwame

Would have been good enough for a low playoff spot this year probably, with Chandler and J-Rich coming off the books, Diaw and Felton as expirings next year to ship out for the rebuild. It would have been impossible to have this roster (because of the trades) and it would have been very expensive, but if I could have had any of those guys, this is what I would've gone with for one more short run before blowing it up.

Lol at my bench unit probably being our starting unit next year minus Jax.

ahhh. Payroll fantasies...lol. Don't the former Hornets players count as former Bobcats players? We're talking Mugsy, Alonzo Mourning, Dell Curry!
