Wow! Very surprising that he could not keep his job in Cleveland, but he's good enough to coach the Lakers in the last few years of Kobe's career. Guess we'll see if the Cavs were stupid for firing him or the Lakers were stupid for hiring him.

Checked out the Lakers site at RGM, and the fans there are overwhelmingly not happy.

Probably the best hire available.

Seems like an odd fit. I would wager on it being a down year for the Lakers because of not only the coaching change, but also ditching the triangle.

This.

Did anyone see Brown on sportscenter? He basically trashed Phil ("he layed the foundation") and ass-kissed the Front Office (they've made great moves to get this roster"). He's going to piss off Kobe so much, I can't see Kobe playing for him more than a year.

i don't know, the lakers are clearly tired of the triangle and actually played their best offensive basketball in p and r's. the big thing is if mike brown lets kobe do what he let lebron do it won't end well. not talking about iso's though (lebron was clearly carrying that team based on the cavs this year), talking about completely running the show. if he can get kobe's respect i think they will be fine.
