We know he likes the city of Charlotte, his family is here and we could get him cheap. Right now we only have Diop on the roster next year for 5's

I'd like him back...hopefully if his family is still here he'd come back...

I'd do it if we can get him back cheap.

I think this late in his career he'd rather play with a contender for a title. Can't blame him. And I'd rather keep Kwame at a reasonable price and draft a big.

with the lack of "bigs" as FA not sure Kwame will be reasonably priced...

Lots of options: Chandler, Nene, Marc Gasol, Dalembert, Yaoming, Deandre Jordan, Big Z, Joel Przybilla, Oden. Yeah, maybe Kwame will go higher now that I think about it....

go after Oden. give him solid deal because he could have significant impact if injury free. it is a big if, but return could be nice. Deandre Jordan should get our attention. He actually should be our #1 player to go after. He will fill the 5 and can do significant damage on our front line.

As far as FA's go, I do think I'd take a shot at Oden, even before Kwame. But I think Kwame really wants to play for Charlotte. I might be foolish for thinking this, but I wonder if there just isn't some sense of loyalty in him with MJ. After all, MJ drafted him #1, took lots of heat over the past few years, and brought him in to Charlotte this past year to give him this chance to show he could play NBA ball. I'm not saying we can low ball him, but I do think it is reasonable to think he might give us a "hometown" discount simply because of loyalty to MJ and that he knows he will get a good amount of PT with Charlotte. That said, the discount cannot be so much that he shakes his head and feels insulted. Has to be reasonable.

he already has a ring

And he cant go for 2 or more? If he already has tasted the glory of a titile, I would think he would want to have it again at least once more before retiring.

How many minutes per game can Nazr play this upcoming season?

If we could get him for the minimum it's a no-brainer, but at this stage of his career I don't know that I'd pay more than that. He's stated previously that he really wants to be here so it could be a win-win.

We only have one Center (Diop since we have to count him) under contract...some team will over-pay Kwame...and my best guess (hope) is we draft a Center (who will be young)...having a vet on the bench who is (by all accounts) a great locker room guy that wants to be here would to be a real win-win...

I just hope that Nazr does indeed still want to be here. I think he was pretty pissed at the FO for trading him after he publicly stated that he really wanted to stay here. He's a professional, so he's probably moved on and will be willing to come back. Hopefully he can teach some offense to whatever other centers are on the team.

Let's overpay Dalembert instead.

I'm trying to remember who we've not pissed off by trading the few that didn't want to be moved.

yer but who

Gray or someone like that? Slipped big body via draft (plus I am on Biyombo bandwagon)? Whoever emerges through training camp/summer league/D-league as last resort. I would rather go young and/or suck outright then taking back someone who is not ion our future plans.

Don't get me wrong I like him a lot but I don't see a reason to bring him here as long as we can get healthy Kwame back. We can play small ball with our plethora of power forwards as we did last season for some time when Kwame was the only healthy center on our roster - if there is no other choice. Get Oakley someone to work on (beside Kwame) not to waste his job, immediate impact or not.

This was just on Nazr's Twitter:

@BIEjr In Charlotte looking for someone to golf with and everyone is scared. Tell ur boys to hit me up

So..he still has CLT in his wheelhouse of 'home' summer cities. Probably until his kids get out of school.

And later in the day after a round of golf in CLT, Nazr responds to his OKC fans:

For all the OKC fans that keep asking me about my free agency... My goal is to come back to OKC next season. I hope everything works out.

I'll never get upset with a player nearing the end of their career for going after a ring....my guess is that if not OKC we're very high on his list since his family is here...
