... Cauz I just started being a bobcats fan this past year. I know the timing isn't great but I love me some bobcats. I live in Charlotte and find it insane to not support your local NBA team if you like b ball. (don't get me started).
I am now a season ticket holder and a avid follower of this forum (I promise I'm not a temporary fan).
Thanks for all your insight and I hope to contribute soon! 1st post woot! New GM double woot!!

Welcome to the roller coaster of being a fan of the Bobcats, and to being a fellow Season Ticket holder. Make sure you go to the Bobcats Draft party next week to see who our new GM pegs for our future.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been a fan for a while as well as a forum lurker but hope to now contribute. I bought some insanely expensive tix with my family for next season that have access to "private events". I hope to be able to contribute from those at the minimum. I remember last season when Crash was being traded someone posted from an insider "MJ and select season ticket holder" meeting the day of the trade. It really helped me pull the trigger on these seats.
Rgardless.... Im In the UK for a month so i will be getting my updates here for now but I am excited about this forum (and the season...?? Lol). We shall see!

Yes you're crazy. We all are!
I too don't understand why people become fans of far away teams. I have three roommates all born and raised in South Carolina, yet one is a Celtics fan, one is a Lakers fan, and the other is a Nuggets fan. Not to mention all of the "lifelong" Heat fans that didn't show up until last summer.
Welcome to BCP though, don't be afraid to jump right in on any of the discussions taking place. We look forward to hearing from you.

I'm in a similar boat as you. I didn't really get into the team until MJ took it off Johnson's hands last spring and the team made the playoffs. Now I plan on going to as many games as possible next season like this past season.

And yep, welcome aboard from another STH. Hope we actually get to go to some games next season.

Where about in the UK? I live here and just curious thats all. Yes you are crazy. If you can role with the punches you will be fine tho!
Welcome, there's still room at the suicide party if the Bobcats draft Jimmer Ferdette, you're welcome to sign up.
I totally agree with you're logic though, have to support the local teams.

Just wait untill we draft the Morris twins. Then, if you are still a fan, you are crazy like the rest of us.

May I ask where your seats are. You said they were insanely expensive. I wonder if you got my seats. Well my former seats. We couldnt afford them this year and I am really gonna miss going to the games and attending all of the events. It just won't be the same on tv.

LOL ^that(They will be good pros tho......meet me in the Draft talk board for a discussion lol)
But anyway, yeah you're crazy and we all are. Especially those of us that have been here since the start of the WEBSITE and team in general lol. But that's all part of being a fan. They dont play without our support.

You have to be crazy to be a fan, insane to buy season tix (hope you got the bogo deal), and there's a special place in bat shait crazy land for people like me -- getting the logo emblazened upon the body during the year we shall only refer to as the Fine Ham Biscuit debacle (albeit I still think that was my favorite year just because the team played with heart and soul).

lol @ the responses! I am in for a good ol fashioned suicide party!
Im in London in the Chelsea/Earls Court area sporting my bobcats hoodie because (believe it or not) its still cold enough to wear it here!!
Our new seats are inner circle across from the team. Free beer!!!! (freeish)
I have been a big fan of what MJ has been saying about what his plans are with the team. Granted its all talk until he backs it up but the GM move was a great call. I just hope MJ stays out of Chos way. It does make me a little nervous that Higgins is still involved but we will see how much in the coming future.

I totally agree with you're logic though, have to support the local teams.Jimmer Fredette is as good if not better than JJ Barea and we know what JJ Barea did during the playoffs and what huge upside he has. I don't want us to get Jimmer but I would not freak the F*&^ out like some of you will if that is what we end up drafting in the first round. In my opinion there are plenty of other players less suited to contributing right away than Jimmer is. Jimmer is at least as good as any pg we currently have. That is not good enough in this draft but it is no reason to cry "the sky is falling" should we draft him. I will trust in Rich Cho to know what he is doing and trust what his research says no matter how poor the draft may look to us common NBA fans.
Welcome to the insanity of being a Bobcats fan and sharing in that with us Bobcats fans on BCP.
