International star . I know nothing about . Either he sucks and is not working out for teams . Or its his agent. I do think hes hurting his stock not working out.
Ive read the kid is the best s/f in the draft and can shoot lights out . He didn't even work out for Salis JR last week . Not even a personal workout . Word has it hes doing no workouts.
Do you draft in the big sea of the unknown??
He has to be hiding something if he's not doing workouts. Maybe he has an injury he doesn't want to get out.

Gotta take Vesely at #9 if he's available.

Agree 100%. Kid is projected at anywhere from #4 -#6 in most drafts. Would love for him to fall to #9.

Vesely, Klay and Tyler would be an awesome draft for Charlotte.

Klay wont go out the lottery and if for some unkown reason he does New York take him. Thinking he will even be near available at 19 is a dream im afraid

Yeah, but some dreams are nice! :-)
I really hope Vesely falls to us at #9. I think iut is one of the most attractive real possibilities out there.
If he does drop, there is no way we can afford to pass on him.

The weird thing about this draft is while there's nobody you really want at 9, there are tons of guys you'd love to have at 19. The point is that somebody that seems to good to be 19 is going to drop to that spot. Whether or not the player will be a contributor or not remains to be seen, but the talent from the late lottery to the 20s seems to be fairly even.

Changed thread title.
You guys know the drill. Anything Vesely goes here.
(if anybody wants to start a Burks, Brooks, Klay, Kawhi, Twin 1, etc thread--feel free)

Well his season just ended recently, there wouldn't be enough time to work out solo for every relevant team. He is a lock to go high anyway, Sunday workout for teams with pikc from 3rd to 8th is a pretty logical solution. Anyone who wanted to see him more was present at Serbian finals against Hemofarm (those whole games are on youtube, easy to find btw).

I agree, but that player will NOT be Klay Thompson, i KNOW THAT. New York actually love him as do every other team behind them

I'm pretty sure Veselư will be most probably a Wizard, unless someone slips to 6th (I guess Knater is the only option).
Interview with Veselư in major czech newspaper today. Not much useful stuff but when asked about prefered teams he answered that from teams that showed interest* Washington would perhaps be the best option and that it seems realistic he could end there. In next answer (about Toronto) he stated he doesn't really care abotu weather or any particular city much, getting minutes on court it's what matters to him.
*basketball journalism is pretty bad here, they assumed that only three teams watched him so the question was structured like to pick one from Utah, Toronto, Washington

With John Wall running the point in Washington, Vesely makes too much sense. He or Biyombo, IMO, but I can't see Vesely being passed up on by Washington if he is on the board when they step to the podium.

Tonight, InsideHoops Mock has us getting Vesely at #9. Now that would be a steal!

I like what I've heard about Vesely, but I'm a littler nervous because he's supposed to be a terrible shooter (under 50 percent on free throws).

Well free throw numbers is a thing hard to tweak, you can only comment whetehr it is a bad shooting mechanic or problem between the ears (I've read a comment it may be a problem to calm down enough as he plays with energy and emotion). Scout reposts on him are bit simplified with kind of bias/prehudice against european players. He's not a very good shooter but he doesn't force things, he plays within the system, faciliate position for others, sneaks fo alleyoops, finish obn fastbreaks and only sometimes going one on one (posting up ro even crossovers) - european basketall is more team oriented. Bad hand issues is ridiculously overblown, I don't think he has bad hands or no handles at all, it is just from lack of footage abd Locke vauleating him upon one game. He plays what he is asked for, very coachable.
It would on his coach to use him properly within the system. Washington seems like a fit, Veselư and Lewis complemetn each other a bit + Wall would get an option to throw it up to him on offense. Apparently Nick Young want him there too (he may not know what he is talking about but still :) ).
