Remember that PF guy we got from Portland... rrr... OKC? Yeah, that one.
Have we extended his deal? Do we want to?

DJ was from OKC....Dante is the one from Portland that we haven't "yet" extended his deal
Yes we want to (unless we get a kick ass SF in the draft or if he gets in more legal trouble).

It is easy to forget. I stand corrected.

We don't have to worry about that yet he's locked up through this upcoming season.

The qualifying offer for 12-13 has to be made by October, though, right?
I like him, he seems very committed to get better and could develop into nice player off the bench for us.

No. That's for picking up third and forth years on rookie contracts. Qualifying offers are just for making FAs restricted -> i,e, having option to level other teams' offers.

DJ White? Is that that shmuck who they brought in to "liven up" the crowd with his sweet CD/MP3 playing skills during halftime shows like the BMX ramp-jumping folk? Yeah, he better not be back next season.

Spectre, Chef, good to talk to you guys again.
I wish I could post more often, but lately, I've been pretty busy with work, school, etc. (I got my Ph.D. in May, I'm getting married next month, and moving a couple weeks after that.)
I still hop on to read what all the BCP-ers have to say about the team, but I usually find that my point has been covered by another post. The draft, as usual, and the hiring of "the CHO-sen one" (maybe a little premature on the nickname - hoping it fits soon enough) have me excited. I plan to be at the draft chat!
Dr. Muttley, as you shall be called from now on. congrats. what's your ph.d? congrats on the wedding too.

Thanks! (My PhD's in math.)
Muttley is our own Professor Hollinger.
So Mutt, go get a job with the CHOsen One as his stat man.
